Twins - The Unforeseen Legacy of My Ex's Uncle-in-Law novel Chapter 176

Drusilla was perched on the side, spending time with the two kids and Wendell. Despite running around all day, she now felt a sense of ease and comfort.

Before long, Blythe appeared at the doorway. "Colton."

Lilith saw her and stepped out. "Grandma."

"How's it going?" Blythe asked. "Does Wendell like the kids?"

"Of course, he loves them." Lilith replied with pride. "I've never seen him so happy."

"Well, that's good," Blythe said. "As long as he's happy, that's what matters."

After all, everything the family did was to see the old man happy. Including Enoch marrying Drusilla, it was all because of Wendell's wishes.

"But he thinks the kids are Drusilla's. He won't listen to anything I say," Lilith admitted.

Blythe glanced at her with a look of frustration. "He's old, doesn't get all the details. As long as he loves the kids, that's enough. It's getting late, who knows when Verena will be back, let's get the kids to bed. They've got school tomorrow. And Wendell needs his rest too."

"Alright," Lilith agreed.

Together with Blythe, Lilith walked inside. Blythe glanced at Drusilla; the kids seemed comfortable around her.

Blythe had no issues with Drusilla being kind to the kids. After all, Drusilla was a mother too. Blythe had been upset for a long time when she initially forbade the kids from coming over.

After the kids returned, she worried Drusilla might cause trouble, but thankfully, the woman wasn't foolish enough to misbehave in front of the children.

"Drusilla, it's late, let Wendell rest," Blythe said.

"Sure," Drusilla turned to Wendell, "Grandpa, time for bed."

York, who took care of Wendell, also approached.

"Colton, Cormac, time for bed. Goodnight," said Drusilla.

The kids nodded.

Blythe and Cybele then took the kids away.

Seeing the kids listen to Drusilla, Lilith said, "Aunt Drusilla, you're quite the strategist."

"Thanks for the compliment," Drusilla responded.

Lilith's lips twitched, unsure how Drusilla could be so shameless. It was clearly an insult, yet she didn't seem embarrassed at all.

Lilith added, "To bond with these kids, you're even willing to neglect your own. But I advise against such schemes. Verena is their mother! I won't let anyone twist the truth. If you think winning over the kids will secure your place in the Taylor family, you're sorely mistaken!"
