"Cut to the chase," Enoch said bluntly, "You know what I'm talking about."
Listening to Enoch, Serge asked, "You suspect the kids were born through IVF?"
Back in the day, Serge and Enoch were tight. Enoch had no interest in settling down; he was like a robot, all about expanding his empire.
Serge had suggested, given Enoch’s attitude, why not pass on his genes while he was still young.
After Serge finished, he noticed Enoch's scowl.
But Serge still found it hard to believe. "How is this possible? How can you be sure it's an issue on my side? What about you?"
He looked Enoch over. Even though Enoch was now in a wheelchair, no one had ever hinted at him having issues in that part.
"No way! You've really never been with another woman?"
This was more surprising than if Enoch had fathered two sons.
"Do I need to repeat myself?" Enoch's voice grew stern. "You have three days to clear this up, or you'll face the consequences."
Despite being certain Verena's kids were his, for Enoch, without unraveling the full story, he wasn't going to let this slide.
What was Verena hiding, stealing his genes like that?
And who else was behind this scheme?
Seeing Enoch so adamant made Serge furrow his brow.
"Alright!" Serge responded to him.
"If you don't clear this up, watch me ruin your reputation."
