Blythe said, "I've been trying to get Enoch to bring the kids back, but he's been stonewalling me. Drusilla, you haven't been whispering in his ear, have you?"
"Me? Never!" Drusilla exclaimed. "You're doing me a disservice!"
Now, hearing Drusilla's denial, Blythe let out a disdainful snort. "Do you know that my grandsons are being bullied outside? All because you wouldn't agree, my grandsons are out there suffering!"
"Bullied?" Enoch interjected. "What happened?"
Blythe replied sharply, "They were gearing up for a competition, the one sponsored by Celestial-Sounds Ltd. I heard from their teacher, and now, suddenly, they're not allowed to go! Every other kid in class is training but not my grandsons? I'd like to know who's been pulling the strings behind the scenes."
She cast a pointed look at Drusilla, insinuating she was behind the ordeal.
Blythe hadn't seen Colt and Cormac today, so she tuned into Cormac's live stream and heard about the incident, which only fueled her anger. She even suspected Drusilla might have had a hand in it.
Drusilla felt wronged. Deeply wronged.
Blythe turned to Enoch, "They say when children get a stepmom, they get a stepdad too. Looks like there's truth to that! Enoch, I'm warning you, if my grandsons are wronged, I'll disown you as my son! Colt was the son who never gave me grief, unlike you..."
Colt Taylor, Enoch's elder brother, rarely came home, making Blythe more prone to miss him whenever she felt displeased.
With a headache brewing, Enoch responded, "I understand. I'll look into it."
Letting the kids suffer was out of the question.
"You better," Blythe retorted before huffing and heading upstairs.
Surprised by his confidence in her, Drusilla asked, "You don't suspect me?"
Seeing her question, Enoch flashed a grin, revealing a charming set of teeth that could easily make hearts skip a beat.
"Do you even have the means?" he teased.
Enoch wasn't a fool. With Kendrick at the helm of the Larkin Group, even though he couldn't micromanage, Enoch doubted Drusilla had the capability to sway things there.
It was probably just some minor sabotage, nothing to worry about.
Drusilla's lips twitched in a slight frown, mixed emotions bubbling up. "I'm not sure if I should be crying or laughing at your comment."
