"Take me to bed, I'm beat," Enoch groaned, rubbing his temples. The moment he got home, he was on the receiving end of a lecture from his mom.
Drusilla nodded at his request, heading to the bedroom with him.
After she finished the acupuncture, she looked at Enoch and asked, "Should I head back now?"
Enoch, seated, stared back at Drusilla, "Won't you stay the night?"
His words made Drusilla blush, remembering the previous night when she had to share a bed with him under duress. She coughed, "No, I won’t."
"I've been away from the kids for two days. As a mom, I can't justify staying away any longer. I better head home."
Enoch watched her leave without insisting she stay.
...
That evening, while the kids were engrossed in their books, Drusilla was messaging Verena about Harlan's behavior.
Verena was livid, sending a voice message, "Is Harlan even human? No, he's not; he's a dog! How could he treat kids like that? How are Colton and Cormac doing?"
"They're busy with their homework right now," Drusilla replied.
Verena was fuming, "I'm going to talk to Blythe, make her give Harlan a piece of her mind. That jerk, he's infuriating!"
Drusilla said, "Enoch's mom got wind of it. She's making Enoch handle it. Cormac mentioned it during his livestream, and she saw it. When I visited the Taylor's, she thought I was to blame and gave me an earful."
Then Drusilla added a sweating emoji.
"Blythe's really good to Colton and Cormac, you can tell she genuinely cares for her grandkids. She may not be nice to you, but she treats them well," Verena noted.
Drusilla said, "Yeah, I know."
