Indeed, he's a gem! Clearly, Drusilla's got it all wrong.
"You haven't taken your bath yet," Oberon reminded him.
Typically, it was Oberon who looked after Enoch's bathing routine.
"No need," Enoch said. "From now on, Drusilla will be staying here. She can handle these matters."
Back when there were no women in the house, it seemed only natural for Oberon to take care of such things. But now, Enoch suddenly felt that being looked after by another man wasn't quite dignified.
Oberon stood aside, looking at Enoch. "Is this okay?"
Enoch glanced at him. "What's the problem?"
Oberon coughed. "Well, no problem, it seems."
It looked like Enoch fully accepted Drusilla as one of his own.
Oberon didn't want to make a fuss and risk upsetting him.
Drusilla came upstairs with some snacks just in time to bump into Oberon. "Oberon."
"I'm clocking out for today," he said.
Drusilla was surprised. "So early? I think Enoch hasn't taken his bath."
"Mr. Taylor said, from now on, such matters will be handled by you."
Drusilla was speechless. "Are you joking? That's always been your responsibility."
"Regardless, you're now legally married. It's indeed the wife's duty."
"You know as well as I do that he and I are bound to get a divorce. It's all there in the agreement."
