Twins - The Unforeseen Legacy of My Ex's Uncle-in-Law novel Chapter 233

Indeed, he's a gem! Clearly, Drusilla's got it all wrong.

"You haven't taken your bath yet," Oberon reminded him.

Typically, it was Oberon who looked after Enoch's bathing routine.

"No need," Enoch said. "From now on, Drusilla will be staying here. She can handle these matters."

Back when there were no women in the house, it seemed only natural for Oberon to take care of such things. But now, Enoch suddenly felt that being looked after by another man wasn't quite dignified.

Oberon stood aside, looking at Enoch. "Is this okay?"

Enoch glanced at him. "What's the problem?"

Oberon coughed. "Well, no problem, it seems."

It looked like Enoch fully accepted Drusilla as one of his own.

Oberon didn't want to make a fuss and risk upsetting him.

Drusilla came upstairs with some snacks just in time to bump into Oberon. "Oberon."

"I'm clocking out for today," he said.

Drusilla was surprised. "So early? I think Enoch hasn't taken his bath."

"Mr. Taylor said, from now on, such matters will be handled by you."

Drusilla was speechless. "Are you joking? That's always been your responsibility."

"Regardless, you're now legally married. It's indeed the wife's duty."

"You know as well as I do that he and I are bound to get a divorce. It's all there in the agreement."

"I've always respected all of Mr. Taylor's wishes. Good night." With that, he took his documents and went downstairs.

Drusilla walked in to see Enoch lounging on the sofa, looking all too comfortable. He said, "Oberon had to leave early today. You'll have to help me with my bath."

If Drusilla hadn't just spoken with Oberon outside, she might have believed him.

Does this man have no conscience when he lies?

Drusilla placed the fruit platter on the table and said to Enoch, "I need to bathe the two boys and put them to bed. I might not be able to help you. I'll call someone else!"

"The kids are already taken care of," Enoch said. "Besides, they're not that little anymore. They can't always have someone else bathe them. When I was their age, I valued my privacy and didn't need help with my baths."

He sounded almost proud by the end.

Drusilla couldn't believe he was comparing himself to the kids. She decided not to argue and focus on the task at hand. "I'll call Colton and Cormac over. Be careful with your attitude this time. Don't make Colton cry again."
