"Mr. Taylor wants you out," Cybele sighed, conveying the message with a sense of resignation. "He heard you crashed in the boys’ room and wants you in his room."

Dealing with Enoch had become an increasingly difficult task ever since he had been confined to a wheelchair. It was as if understanding his thoughts had turned into a puzzle, one that Cybele couldn't seem to piece together.

Looking at Cybele's helpless expression, Drusilla replied, "Alright, I got it. You go get some rest. It's ridiculous that he dragged you out of bed at this hour. The man must be seriously unwell."

Drusilla couldn't fathom why he enjoyed making everyone dance to his tune so much.

After their brief exchange, Drusilla made her way to Enoch's room, only to find him sitting up in bed, pretending to be absorbed in a novel.

Having been sound asleep moments before, Drusilla was hardly in the mood for games. "What's gotten into you?" she asked, her voice heavy with sleep.

"Why did you sleep in the boys’ room?" Enoch asked, his gaze fixed on her.

"I didn't want to disturb you," Drusilla replied.

As soon as the words left her mouth, Enoch's intense stare made her feel uncomfortable. He patted the space beside him on the bed, an unspoken invitation.

"What are you doing?" Drusilla asked, puzzled by his actions.

"You either sleep here or you can try the hallway, but you're not sleeping in the kids' rooms anymore. They're getting too old for that. We need to teach them about boundaries. What if they end up getting taken advantage of by some bad influence in the future?" Enoch reasoned.

Drusilla couldn't help but twitch at the corner of her mouth. Despite how absurd it sounded, he made a peculiar sort of sense.

She approached the bed, lifted the covers, and lay down, closing her eyes as she spoke, "Enoch, you really kill me. You clearly want me here, yet you still come up with such a noble excuse."
