As Blythe saw Saskia entering the room, she turned to Lilith and said, "Lilith, I'm off to rest then."
Taking care of Lilith had been quite the ordeal for Blythe, especially after Lilith had fainted earlier. Frankly, Blythe wasn't too fond of the Stanton family anyway, so this was her chance to step out.
Lilith nodded at Blythe's words, "Thank you, Grandma."
Saskia watched Blythe leave and then commented to Lilith, "Her dress is absolutely stunning!"
Despite Blythe being older, she somehow looked much younger than Saskia.
Harlan overheard his mother and couldn't help but feel a twitch in his forehead. "Mom."
He couldn't stand his mother's lack of worldliness!
Lilith chuckled and replied, "If you like it, I'll get you one later."
"Thank you, Lilith," Saskia beamed. "You are the best."
She was over the moon. Lilith always spoiled her with expensive gifts, making her the envy of her bridge club.
...
Blythe stepped outside Lilith's place and spotted Enoch sitting by the door. "What are you doing out here?"
"Just chilling."
"Go get some rest," Blythe said. "Lilith's fine, no need to worry too much."
Enoch nodded.
Blythe didn't linger and went straight to Colton and Cormac's room, where she found Verena engrossed in a video game, yelling at the screen, "Idiot, hack him! Come on, are you braindead?"
