Twins - The Unforeseen Legacy of My Ex's Uncle-in-Law novel Chapter 265

Saskia's unexpected visit to the Taylor household was one thing, but causing a scene and picking a fight with Enoch in front of everyone was entirely another! Even if Harlan had the guts of a lion, he wouldn't dare cross Enoch!

Sure, Lilith called Enoch "Uncle". Lilith's father, Kendrick, was Enoch's older brother. But Harlan knew all too well, no matter how close the family ties, Kendrick was a Larkin, and Enoch was the true patriarch of the Taylor family.

With Colt Taylor absent, all the family affairs, including their vast business interests, fell on Enoch's shoulders.

Saskia huffed, "Don't try to stop me! I'd like to see what he can do about it! You're the golden boy back home, and now we're supposed to tiptoe around the Taylors?"

Saskia wasn't well-versed in the Taylor family dynamics. To her, Enoch was just a junior, hardly someone who should have a say in family matters, so she didn't take him too seriously.

Enoch, sitting quietly, watched Saskia rant with a slight grin, "Very well!"

Harlan, sweating bullets, tried to smooth things over, "I'm so sorry, Uncle Enoch. My mom... she doesn't really get it. Please, forgive her."

"Forgive?" Enoch's voice carried a hint of regret, "I'm sorry to say, I'm not one to easily forgive someone. Harlan, your mom just said you're the golden boy at home, but here, you're out of your depth. So, from now on, you're moving out! I can't stand the sight of you in the Taylor household anymore."

"Uncle Enoch." Lilith looked at Enoch, desperation in her eyes, "This has nothing to do with Harlan!"

"Really?" Enoch countered, "Then whose issue is it? She's his mother, and he brought her here. So, my word means nothing in my own house now? I have to tolerate outsiders bossing us around?"

Then, as if recalling something, Enoch added, "If I'm not mistaken, Harlan, weren't you supposed to be in Africana right now? Seems like you've forgotten about that."

Enoch glanced at Lilith, his mouth twitching slightly, "So, because you're pregnant, your mother-in-law gets to do whatever she pleases?"

"I…" Saskia, caught between Enoch's stare and Lilith's plight, was at a loss.

Enoch continued, "I'm not targeting you, but if you think, just because you're pregnant, the people around you can push mine around, you're mistaken. For your sake, Harlan can stay. But his mother must apologize!"

Seeing Enoch relent, Harlan turned to Saskia, "Mom, please, just apologize."

"Why should I apologize? It was Drusilla who was rude to me!" Saskia stood her ground, feeling unjustly accused.
