"Ha." Drusilla couldn't help but laugh, "Weren't you just going on and on about how I seduced him? What, now it's not your son who seduced me?"
As soon as she realized it was Harlan who had asked her out, Saskia immediately changed her tune, making Drusilla find the whole situation absurd.
Such a blatant double standard!
Saskia snorted, "Who do you think you are? My son seducing you? After your affair and even having a child with another man, how could our Harlan ever fancy someone like you?"
Then, turning to Harlan, she said, "Lilith is waiting for you at home, Harlan. You better hurry back to her!"
With that, she walked over to Harlan, pulling him away.
Drusilla turned to Blythe and said, "Mom."
Blythe looked at Drusilla and said, "I won't make a big deal out of today's events. But, I want you to move out. Our home, our family, doesn't welcome you. Even Enoch wouldn't stand for someone like you! I used to believe what I saw with my own eyes, regardless of what others said about you. But Drusilla, you've truly disappointed us."
"…Are you kicking me out?" Drusilla asked upon hearing Blythe's words.
"Yes," Blythe replied.
"It was Harlan who asked me to come."
As soon as Blythe heard Harlan's name, she frowned, "I don't care whose fault it is, but you can't stay here. If things like this happen now, who knows what might happen later! Lilith is pregnant, she can't handle the stress. Once you leave, everything will get better. The main point is... our family simply can't accommodate a woman like you! I also don't want you influencing our grandchildren, leading them to grow up under your guidance."
"Don't you think this is unfair?" Drusilla challenged.
To kick her out but keep Harlan.
Because Lilith was pregnant!
"The world isn't fair," Blythe said. "Anyway, you and Enoch aren't officially married yet, nobody knows, so it's not too late to end things."
