Feeling more stifled than ever, Lilith couldn't hold it in anymore.
"Uncle's totally out of line!" Lilith exclaimed, her voice laced with a mix of anger and disbelief. "He's clearly trying to undermine you. After all the effort you've put into this project, how could he do this to you?"
As she spoke, her eyes started to brim with tears. Letting go of Harlan's hand, she stormed off to confront Blythe.
...
Blythe was in the kitchen, trying to coax Colton and Cormac into eating their lunch.
Even though it wasn't quite lunchtime, she had already prepared their favorite dish, shrimp and rice. "Colton, Cormac, please eat something. You haven't eaten anything all morning."
Colton was off in his own world, playing with his toy airplane, seemingly deaf to her pleas.
Knowing how tricky Colton could be, Blythe turned her attention to Cormac, "Cormac, have a bite. What's gotten into you two today? You haven't touched a thing."
She was so worried that she had even called a doctor to check on them, only to find out there was nothing wrong.
Cormac hung his head low, looking utterly dejected, "I don't feel like eating."
"Why not?" Blythe pressed. "You're worrying me sick! If something's bothering you, you need to tell me. How else am I supposed to know, huh?"
Hearing Blythe, Colton glanced up at her, his lips pressed tightly together, "Where's mom?"
"Verena."
At that moment, Verena was sulking on the living room sofa, fuming over Enoch's orders not to take the kids away. She was livid!
Hearing Blythe's call, Verena responded, "What do you need, madam?"
"Get off your phone and help with the kids."
"I'm no good at it!" That was her retort, blaming Blythe for driving Drusilla away.
