Drusilla's fingers clenched the edge of her blanket without realizing it.
After greeting everyone, Harlan turned to Enoch and whispered, "Uncle Enoch, Colton and Cormac have a gig today. Grandma and Aunt Drusilla are here. Should I fetch them for you to see?"
"No need," Enoch replied. "I'll go myself."
Harlan nodded, "Then, I'll show you the way."
"Just carry on with your things," Enoch declined Harlan's offer, asking only Oberon to accompany him.
As they approached, Cormac spotted Enoch and jogged over, "Dad."
His enthusiasm was palpable upon seeing Enoch!
Blythe, recognizing her son's difficulty with his legs, moved from her seat in the audience down to Enoch's side.
"You came to see Colton and Cormac perform?" she asked Enoch.
It was clear; Enoch still cared deeply for the two boys.
Enoch responded to Blythe, "Just business."
But it was an opportunity to see them!
Blythe noticed that Enoch seemed colder than usual today. Typically, he'd be all warmth and smiles around Drusilla...
She turned back to Drusilla, "Drusilla's here too! It's almost lunchtime. How about we all go grab a bite together?"
The suggestion tightened Drusilla's throat. Lunch with Enoch?
Before she could react, Enoch had already declined, "No, I have other commitments."
