Remembering her time with Serge, a smile would play around her eyes. They were always so happy together...
As he leaned in for a kiss, Drusilla instinctively dodged. She knew his intentions were not genuine; he merely wanted to toy with her emotions, and she was not having it. In her eyes, intimacy was something to be shared only with someone she truly cared for.
Enoch, feeling her evasion, was washed over with irritation. He forcefully turned her face towards him and planted a kiss on her lips.
"Enoch…" She struggled.
As she opened her mouth, he took the opportunity to deepen the kiss...
The living room fell into a profound silence, where Drusilla could hear the sound of their kiss. Her grip tightened involuntarily, and tears began to fall.
How she despised him!
She felt nothing but hatred towards him.
Feeling her tears, Enoch opened his eyes to look at her, suddenly feeling a wave of emptiness. He released her, his heart aching from her rejection.
If he didn't have feelings for her, he wouldn't bother kissing her at all.
Yet, she despised him so much!
He said coldly, "You can leave now!"
He couldn't stand the sight of her any longer.
Hearing his words, Drusilla pushed away from the chair, the scraping sound echoing sharply across the floor. She quickly stood up, her heels clicking as she walked out.
Enoch sat back, staring at a glass in front of him before suddenly swiping it off the table in frustration.
Oberon, hearing the commotion, walked in and said, "Mr. Taylor?"
What now?
She had only been apart from Enoch for two years.
Lilith said, "Some woman outside had them."
Odette snorted, "He parades around acting all celibate, and yet he has kids outside."
And he still expected her to marry him? In his dreams!
Seeing Odette's disdain whenever she mentioned Enoch, Lilith asked, "Odette, do you really not want to be with Uncle Enoch? He's actually a great guy. Letting him go to Drusilla feels like a loss."
Odette retorted, "He's lucky to have married Drusilla! What, with his current state, he still dares to be picky?"
Lilith listened to Odette badmouth Enoch but didn't know what to say in response.
Colton and Cormac left with their kindergarten teacher and classmates to prepare for a performance, leaving Blythe to see them off before turning back to glance at Odette.
