Odette spotted Blythe and greeted, "Good afternoon, ma'am."
Blythe gave her a quick glance, didn't say a word, and walked off.
A bit later, someone approached Odette, saying, “Ms. Lawson, the lady requests your presence.”
Odette wasn’t naive. She could tell Blythe was repelled by her.
She followed Blythe to a nearby café and sat down across from her. “Did you need something from me, ma’am?”
“I heard you went to see Enoch?”
Odette nodded, “Yes, I had a matter to discuss with him.”
“What could you possibly have to discuss with him?” Blythe eyed Odette suspiciously and said, “Ms. Lawson, when Enoch was in trouble, you, his fiancée, were the first to flee. Now that he’s married, I’d appreciate it if you kept your distance from him.”
Odette couldn’t help but smirk at Blythe’s words, “You seem to be under some misunderstanding. Even if you hadn’t mentioned it, I’d still stay away from Enoch. Moreover, it’s your son who keeps seeking me out! My visit today was to ask him to leave me alone. Madam, you don’t think I’m still obsessed with following him around, do you? Back then, he didn’t spare me a glance, and now, I’ve lost interest in him.”
She had indeed been devoted to Enoch in the past, doing everything to win his favor.
Following him around like a lost puppy.
But he hardly ever noticed her.
She knew, he was the heir to the Taylor family, handsome and capable, the epitome of excellence in everyone’s eyes, and that was why she sought his attention.
But that was all in the past!
Now Enoch was nothing more than a man confined to a wheelchair, and she couldn’t care less about him!
She supported Blythe, full of concern.
Blythe looked at Drusilla, unsure when she had arrived. Drusilla handed her a glass of water, “Here, drink some water.”
After taking a sip, Blythe’s expression softened slightly.
Sitting next to Blythe, Drusilla glanced at Odette across the table.
Having already been familiar with Odette’s shamelessness, Drusilla wasn’t surprised to see Blythe so worked up.
Drusilla comforted her, “Why get so upset over someone so insignificant? It’s not worth it.”
Blythe responded, “Exactly, I’ve never encountered such a shameless woman before! A girl with nothing but a second-rate degree to her name, who in no way deserved Enoch. There were countless women after Enoch, and we only accepted her because of the friendship between our families. Yet now, she has the audacity to act this way!”
