If it weren't for the fact that she had vulnerabilities in his grip, and the children, she honestly wouldn't have had the guts to face him again.
...
Oberon looked at her earnestly, "Please, as a favor to me, could you just tone it down a bit? Mr. Taylor is actually quite easy to please. Just say something nice to him, and once he's in a good mood, he won't be like this anymore! It's also for your father's company…"
"Don't bother."
Drusilla flatly rejected Oberon and walked through the door.
Cormac and Colton were seated at the table, side by side, peeling oranges together.
Enoch was lounging nearby, a cup of tea in front of him, looking utterly relaxed.
It goes without saying, money does make life easier!
Those spots downstairs were highly coveted, yet here he was, enjoying the luxury of VIP treatment all by himself. Life couldn't get any better!
She took a seat at an empty spot nearby.
Pouring herself a cup of tea, she took a sip.
No sooner had she put down the cup than she noticed Enoch's gaze fixed on her.
She lowered her eyebrows, pretending not to notice his stare, and pulled out her phone, ready to dive into it.
Enoch couldn't hold back any longer, "Do you really need to be with Serge to feel satisfied?"
Just that afternoon, he had warned her to stay away from Serge.
Even threatening her with the Lawson family didn't work?
And yet, here she was with Serge again.
Hearing his words, Drusilla said, "Sorry, I thought you'd be here watching your fiancée, didn't realize you'd come. If I knew you were coming, I would've kept my distance from Dr. Denton."
The implication was clear: she would act appropriately in his presence, but no promises behind his back!
Enoch, seeing her unchangeable attitude, looked away, his face cold, "You only act this way because I spoil you. Anyone else would have been done for many times over!"
He clearly caught the disdain in Colton's tone.
His own son, daring to disdain him!
This little guy really had a terrible attitude!
Colton hid behind Drusilla, looking at Enoch with a bit of fear, yet he didn't take back his words.
Drusilla, watching this father and son duo, thought about how Cormac was so sweet and adorable in front of Enoch, while Colton could easily drive Enoch up the wall at any moment.
Enoch pressed the service bell, and soon, Oberon entered, "Mr. Taylor."
"Take Colton out!"
Drusilla stood up, "Then I'll go with him!"
Enoch looked at her, "You're opposing me too?"
"You're the one being unreasonable," Drusilla said. "Enoch, don't you think you're acting like an emperor? Everyone has to listen to you, and if they don't, they get punished. Colton is just a child."
