Twins - The Unforeseen Legacy of My Ex's Uncle-in-Law novel Chapter 340

Ethan noticed something about Drusilla; she was always bubbly and smiling, except when it came to him…

She always seemed to find a way to irk him whenever they were together!

After catching up with Raymond, Drusilla turned to him and said, “Mr. Taylor is waiting inside. Please, come in.”

Raymond nodded, stepping into the room, and greeted Enoch, “Hey, Mr. Taylor.”

Enoch looked at him, “Hello.”

The necessary pleasantries were exchanged, though it was clear Enoch was somewhat displeased underneath.

He quietly observed Raymond and Drusilla, trying to figure out what exactly their relationship was.

Drusilla got down to business, “Raymond, I asked you here today to take a look at Mr. Taylor’s condition. You've seen a lot of cases; your experience could really help.”

Raymond agreed with a nod.

After discussing for a bit, Raymond also gave Enoch a quick check-up.

However, when it came to acupuncture, it was Drusilla who took charge, with Raymond observing her technique.

Drusilla hadn’t been practicing acupuncture for long, but she was a natural. In just a couple of years, she had mastered it impressively.

Gable had praised her before, and though Raymond was initially skeptical, he now admitted she was far better than him.

With Raymond there today, Drusilla was especially focused. By the time she finished, she was drenched in sweat.

Taking a deep breath, she looked to Raymond, “Raymond.”

Raymond smiled slightly, “You did great.”

He added, “With you taking care of Mr. Taylor, I don’t think there’s much I can do here.”

“Are you sure?” Drusilla asked.

“Let’s step outside for a chat!” Raymond suggested, mindful of Enoch’s presence.

Glancing at Enoch, Raymond said, “Wish you a speedy recovery, Mr. Taylor. I’ll be heading out now.”

“Sure!” Drusilla happily accepted, “Thank you so much!”

Networking was crucial, regardless of the field. Though confident in her skills, Drusilla knew too few people.

Raymond’s offer could secure her a steady stream of work, ensuring she wouldn’t struggle to find jobs in the future.

Despite her current employment with the Taylor family and Enoch’s salary, she knew it wasn’t a permanent solution. Post-divorce, she’d have to return to her old life.

Raymond chuckled as they reached the bottom of the stairs, where they ran into Harlan, “Mr. Horton.”

Seeing Harlan, Drusilla’s expression darkened.

Raymond turned to him, “Hey, Mr. Stanton.”

“Heading out?” Harlan inquired.

Raymond replied, “Yeah, all done here, so I’m heading back.”

“Let me walk you out!”
