Twins - The Unforeseen Legacy of My Ex's Uncle-in-Law novel Chapter 342

"Stop right there!" Harlan called out, grabbing her arm. He was used to getting physical with Drusilla, and now, with her spouting such nonsensical stuff, he felt compelled to make her stay.

He couldn’t deny that part of him had hoped for her return, but seeing her so defiant and haughty in her refusal irked him deeply.

"Let go of me!" Drusilla demanded.

It was bold of him, considering they were at the Taylor estate, a place known for its strict rules and high standards.

Perhaps his audacity stemmed from the last incident where they were caught together, yet he faced no repercussions. That must've inflated his ego.

Drusilla was fuming inside.

If he could harm her, she'd make sure to ruin him!

Lilith, witnessing the scene, suddenly slipped and fell, exclaiming, "Ah!"

Harlan, momentarily stunned, turned to see Lilith on the ground. Though it was just a few steps, her being pregnant added gravity to the fall, leaving Harlan in a cold sweat.

Rushing to her side, Harlan asked, "Honey, are you alright?"

"My stomach..." Lilith gasped, her hands over her belly, "My baby..."

Cybele approached, concerned, "Miss Lilith."

Harlan shot her a look, barking, "Call an ambulance, now!"

Drusilla stood by, silent and unmoving, witnessing the unfolding drama. She had only intended for Lilith to see Harlan’s pestering and hoped it would bring trouble upon him, not anticipating Lilith’s fall.

Yet, seeing Lilith in distress, Drusilla found a disturbing sense of schadenfreude.

Why should he, who once forced her to make such a cruel decision, now enjoy the bliss of expecting a child with his new bride?

Men like him didn't deserve the joy of parenthood!

Blythe, hearing the commotion, came down, "What happened? Is Lilith alright?"

Harlan replied, "She took a fall."

Oberon emerged, concerned, "Ma'am! What's happened?"

Drusilla, her face a mask of gravity, asked hoarsely, "How is Enoch doing?"

"Mr. Taylor’s doing fine, he’s currently practicing walking."

"Then keep him company," Drusilla said, heading to the balcony instead of entering the room.

Gazing at the sky, the wind seemed unusually strong today, rustling the leaves in the yard, scattering them all over. The groundskeeper was busy cleaning up.

To her surprise, she found herself transformed into a woman she never expected to be.

Oberon approached, "Ma'am, Mr. Taylor wishes to see you."

"Tell him I need to rest for a bit."

"You know how he gets," Oberon warned, "He's already upset."
