Twins - The Unforeseen Legacy of My Ex's Uncle-in-Law novel Chapter 369

As Enoch uttered those words, he couldn't help but find the whole situation somewhat absurd.

When had he stooped so low, resorting to such underhanded tactics just to keep the woman he adored by his side?

Yet he was convinced that the moment he nodded in agreement, she'd vanish like a puff of smoke.

He'd always been the one to do the leaving, and he'd be damned if he'd let her walk away from him!

Drusilla closed her eyes briefly, and when she reopened them, she fixed a cold, hard gaze on Enoch, letting out a sardonic laugh. "I never pegged you for such a shameless man, Enoch!"

"Yep!" Enoch didn't even bother denying it. "I am that shameless! Never thought I had it in me until I met you!"

Drusilla couldn't bear to continue the conversation. She set down her computer mouse and stood up, intending to walk away, but Enoch grabbed her hand and pulled her back.

She stumbled into his arms, and as she struggled to free herself, his grip only tightened.

"You jerk! Let go of me, you creep!" she spat in frustration.

Driven by anger, he bent down and bit her shoulder hard.

A sharp pain shot through her, leaving her speechless with rage. "Enoch, what are you, a dog?" she asked, her voice heavy with exasperation.

He had actually bitten her!

Unbelievable!

How had she never realized he was this kind of man before?

She tried resisting a few more times, but the more she moved, the harder he bit.

Finally, she stopped struggling, and he released his bite, eyeing the mark he'd left on her shoulder with a hint of satisfaction. Blood had started to seep out, and yet he seemed strangely pleased. "That's my mark. Now you’ll remember me."

She looked up at him, gritting her teeth. "Shameless!"

Instead of getting upset at her insult, he raised a hand and patted her head with a smug grin. "Be good. Don’t leave me. Drusilla, I've got a temper. Stop pushing my buttons!"

She pressed her lips together and said to Enoch, "You can let go of me now."

"Are you still going to divorce me?" He locked eyes with her, as if her answer would determine whether he released her or not.

Drusilla replied, "Let's discuss that later."

Why postpone the divorce?

She fully intended to go through with it.

"Then I won't let go," Enoch declared.

He wrapped his arms around her waist, as if holding her close would prevent her from leaving.

Drusilla couldn't believe what a clown he was. "Enoch, you might be able to keep me here, but you can't hold onto my heart!"

"That's okay. Keeping you here is good enough," Enoch said confidently. "One day, when I find my footing, you won't say things like that. You and Odette are cut from the same cloth. Someday, I'll make sure you want to stay with me willingly."
