Twins - The Unforeseen Legacy of My Ex's Uncle-in-Law novel Chapter 370

"Are you kidding me? He actually thinks I don't want to be with him because of his leg?"

Drusilla bit her lip, holding back a storm of emotions. "I need to use the bathroom," she announced, her voice steady despite the turmoil inside.

Enoch, sitting in his wheelchair, let her go with a simple nod. "Go ahead."

Once inside the restroom, Drusilla lifted her shirt to inspect the bite mark on her shoulder. Her fingers gingerly touched the spot, eliciting a sharp sting.

Meanwhile, Enoch sat alone, staring at the injury on his hand. A strange smile crept onto his face as he examined it.

...

When Drusilla emerged from the bathroom, she had a first-aid kit in her hand. She placed it on the table before Enoch and sat down. He just looked at her in silence as she opened the kit. "Let me see your hand."

Despite her obvious irritation, she was still concerned enough to tend to his wound. Enoch couldn’t help but smile slightly. "Drusilla."

She didn’t respond, focusing instead on spraying alcohol onto his injury. "Does it hurt?" she asked, her voice devoid of sympathy.

"Yes, it does," he replied, seizing the opportunity to play the victim.

Unexpectedly, her touch became more forceful, making him wince. The fleeting thought that she might actually care for him vanished instantly.

"Are you treating my wound or just getting back at me?" he asked, trying to mask the sharp pain from the alcohol.

Drusilla looked up at him, her eyes challenging. "You didn’t think I was doing this because I felt sorry for you, did you?"

Enoch sighed, "You’re really something else, aren't you?"

"Does it still hurt?" she asked, her tone as sharp as ever.

"No," he grumbled, knowing full well that admitting to pain would only make her more ruthless.

"How's Enoch doing? Is he feeling any better?" Serge asked on the other end.

Drusilla frowned. "No, he's not," she replied, surprised by Serge’s concern for Enoch.

Serge chuckled softly. "Maybe I should talk to him?"

Drusilla sighed. "No need. We're getting a divorce."

She dropped the word "divorce" like a bomb. From the bed, Enoch heard a muffled thud, perhaps from his own heart, as he turned to look at her with a mix of emotions swirling in his eyes.

Ignoring his gaze, Drusilla continued her conversation with Serge.

"What happened?" Serge inquired, his curiosity piqued.
