Urging Him to Get a Divorce (Aveline and Xavier) novel Chapter 676

When they got to the private dining room, Sebastian saw the three of them enter and told the waiter they could serve the food.

Fiona had saved a seat for Aveline between her and Jasmine, and waved for Aveline to come sit.

Xavier sighed, carrying Valentina over to sit next to Brielle.

Valentina really wanted to sit with Aveline, but she was a sensible girl. Seeing there were no empty seats next to Aveline, she let it go.

Brielle asked if she’d had fun. She nodded and said yes, then added with a grin, Mom, Auntie got shy.

Brielle paused, then laughed. Why did Auntie get shy?

Getting shy from playing with a kid?

Brielle glanced at Aveline with a smile.

Aveline wanted to stop Valentina but didn’t know how.

Valentina just laughed and said, Uncle asked me if Auntie was pretty, and she got shy.

Seriously, Uncle. I always call her pretty auntie,so why did he even ask if she’s pretty?

The private dining room fell silent.

Aveline picked up her teacup and took a sip, acting like it was no big deal.

Brielle smiled, looking from Aveline to Xavier. A smile played on Xavier’s lips as he opened Aveline’s water bottle, which he was still holding, and took a drink.

Aveline only then noticed he was holding her water bottle. She frowned slightly and looked toward Fiona.

Fiona said in a low voice, Nothing I could do. He took it, and I couldn’t get it back.

Jasmine said teasingly, We’re in public. You can’t exactly fight him over a water bottle.

Jane watched everyone’s reactions, especially Xavier’s and Aveline’s.

She really wanted to ask if Xavier and Aveline were married or engaged, but she was afraid there was more to the story, and asking might lead to bad consequences.

After all, whenever she asked Leona or Josephine in private, they’d never give her a straight answer, as if it were some difficult question, or like they were hiding something.

Leona had a cold, grim look on her face, as if someone had punched her and she couldn’t hit back.

Josephine’s hand under the table clenched into a fist. She secretly gritted her teeth, not understanding how just a few days ago she was the one basking in the spotlight next to Xavier, and now she’d been replaced by Aveline.

But Aveline was acting like she wasn’t even enjoying it. What a pretentious bitch.

A mocking smile flashed across Sebastian’s lips. Jason gave Xavier and Aveline a deep look, then lowered his head to drink his tea, his expression neutral.

To some people, the atmosphere in the private dining room was a bit awkward. Thankfully, a waiter came in to serve the food.

Sebastian said, Mr. Beltran, should we open a bottle of wine?

Xavier replied, I don’t think so. We’re here for our health, why would we drink?

Sebastian laughed, That’s true. Let’s just have some fresh juice then.

See what Valentina wants to drink?

Then he motioned for the waiter to hand the menu to Brielle.

Brielle asked Valentina and ordered the Sweet Corn Drink, and then everyone else agreed to have

the same.

Halfway through the meal, Xavier’s phone rang. He glanced at it, saw it was a call from Amy, and got up to take it outside.

Leona saw this and leaned close to Josephine, whispering, Here’s your chance. You should go out too, see if you can get a word with him.

Josephine nodded, put down her cup, lightly dabbed her mouth with a napkin, and then got up

and walked out.

Jane saw this, her suspicious gaze following Josephine’s back until she walked out of the private dining room.

When Xavier first went out, everyone knew he was just taking a call and didn’t think much of it.

But when Josephine followed him out a moment later, it made some people suspicious.

Fiona nudged Aveline. Do you think that call was from Josephine?

Aveline said flatly. They have to call each other? That must be exhausting for them.

Hearing this, Jasmine sneered, A text would’ve been enough. No need to call.

Fiona scoffed, And just a little while ago on the court, Xavier was putting on a show, giving Josephine the cold shoulder right in front of us.

Xavier stepped out of the private dining room, answered the call, and slowly walked toward a nearby window.

Amy said, Mr. Beltran, we’ve found out. Rachel is Julian’s cousin. Judging by the time of the donation, they must have gone to the blood bank together.
