Xavier’s expression turned even colder. He wondered, did that bastard Bryan want to ask Aveline for money?
What made him think Aveline would give him money?
“Babe, I’m on the road right now. I’ll ask him when I get there.”
Aveline was pissed. “Don’t call me babe,”
And then she hung up.
Xavier was pissed too, pissed at Bryan. He kicked the front seat.
Amy kept driving, staring straight ahead, making sure not to look in the rearview mirror.
After hanging up, Aveline went to the restroom to splash water on her face and calm down, then grabbed her purse and laptop and went to the small conference room to work.
The black Bentley arrived at The Chu’s Hotel at Six Peaks Mountain. Xavier got out, his face cold, and stole into the hotel.
In the lo
everyone turned to stare as the head of the walked in, their gazes a mix of curiosity and intensity. A few people sneakily took photos to post online, bragging about their luck at bumping into him.
The manager, having been told by Douglas and Alexander that Mr. Beltran was coming, was waiting in the lobby. As soon as he saw him, he rushed over. “Mr. Beltran.”
Xavier didn’t break his stride as he walked toward the elevator, asking, “Is he upstairs?”
“Yes, Mr. Beltran. Douglas and Alexander brought another man with them. It looked like he was being forced.”
Xavier said coldly, “Don’t follow me. I’m going to beat someone up.”

‘…Yes, Mr. Beltran.”
The manager: “…
So he stopped and didn’t follow Xavier into the elevator.
Xavier got to the 18th floor and keyed in the code to the presidential suite.

Douglas, Alexander, and Bryan were sitting on the sofa in the living room. They all shot to their feet the moment he appeared.
Douglas and Alexander said in unison. “Mr. Beltran.”
Bryan forced an awkward laugh. “Mr. Beltran, this… this is all a misunderstanding. I wasn’t going to do anything to Ms. Sutton. I just bumped into her and wanted to say hi.”
With a chilling expression, Xavier walked over without a word, lifted his foot, and kicked Bryan
in the stomach.
Bryan cried out and collapsed onto the sofa, the pain in his stomach so intense it felt like his guts and bowels were about to come out.
Xavier had kicked him with brutal force, as if trying to kill him.
The thought terrified Bryan, and he yelled, “Mr. Beltran, Mr. Beltran, I really didn’t mean it! Spare me, please don’t kill me!”
Xavier’s handsome face was taut, his dark eyes filled with ice. He kept kicking him–his shins, thighs, and knees–without saying a word.
Bryan was terrified. Something was off about Xavier; he felt he might actually get kicked to death. He scrambled off the sofa and tried to run.
Dougla
exander dragged him back, and Douglas threw him to the floor.
Bryan scrambled to his knees and started to beg for forgiveness. “Mr. Beltran, I was wrong, I was wrong! Please, stop hitting me! I feel like I’m seriously hurt. If you keep hitting me, I’m going to
die.*
Douglas and Alexander glanced at each other, also afraid Mr. Beltran would actually beat the man to death, and then looked at Mr. Beltran.
Xavier laughed, “If you were really afraid of dying, would you have dared to do something like
this?
Just then, Amy came in. Douglas and Alexander quickly looked at her, giving her a meaningful glance, as if to say, “Mr. Beltran isn’t actually going to kill him, is he?”
Amy knew Mr. Beltran had self–control. He might talk about kicking Bryan to death, but he would never actually kill the man.
Seeing that Xavier wasn’t coming over to kick him, Bryan stopped begging for forgiveness, lifted his head and said, “Mr. Beltran, I’ll apologize to Ms. Sutton. I, I’ll leave right away. I’ll never go

Xavier demanded in a cold voice, “Didn’t I tell you to go find Leona? Why did you come looking for my wife?”
Bryan gave a bitter smile, “I did go see the Heiress. She was the one who told me to come find Ms. Sutton.”
Xavier heard him, his dark eyes narrowed, his gaze as cold as a blade. He kicked Bryan again. “What nonsense are you talking about?”
Bryan rolled away to dodge. “I’m not, I’m not talking nonsense. It’s true.”

The readers' comments on the novel: Urging Him to Get a Divorce (Aveline and Xavier)
When is the novel ending? It’s so unnecessarily long… not a single intimacy or connection just fighting and bickering from the beginning to end...
