Leona sat there with a sullen face, not saying a word, but in her mind, she thought that even if she didn’t go to Mount Ardwood to find Aveline, she had to at least call and curse her out

That woman is just so heartless and ungrateful.

Aunt looked at the expressions on Leona’s and Rupert’s faces and said with a smile, “Our Leona just has a good heart. She can’t stand to see others being wronged.”

Rupert had never liked Aunt’s way of pleasing everyone and her passive–aggressive sarcasm, so he asked coolly, “What did you come here for?”

Aunt knew Rupert had never cared for her. Just because she had high emotional intelligence and knew what to say, Rupert thought she was a schemer.

But Lauren was straightforward and lacked tact, which, conversely, made Rupert fond of her.

Aunt suppressed her annoyance and smiled, “It’s just that I haven’t been here for a few days, so I came to see you.‘

“A few days ago, Leona introduced Jason to the girl from the Dawson family. I wanted to ask why there hasn’t been any follow–up.”

As she spoke, she looked toward Leona.

“Xavier married Aveline because he likes her, too.”

Rupert shot her a look. “Is that how someone repays a debt of gratitude?”

Aunt gave a dry laugh, unconvinced in her heart.

Leona felt uncomfortable staying there any longer and stood up. “I’m leaving.”

Lauren quickly said, “We’re going to Mount Ardwood for a few days this weekend. Help Mason pack his things. We’ll leave Friday afternoon after he gets out of school.”

“Do you and Marcus want to come spend the weekend with us too?”

Leona snapped. “Didn’t I already say Mason can’t go?”

With that, she left without a backward glance.

Lauren frowned. “That girl, why is she like this?”

“Mason was so excited about going to Mount Ardwood. If she doesn’t let him go, he’ll be so heartbroken.”

Rupert said flatly, “A child has a father too. Tell Marcus that if he agrees, you can take Mason.”

He knew Leona didn’t like Aveline, which was why she didn’t want Mason going to Mount Ardwood.

Aunt asked, “You’re all going to Mount Ardwood this weekend? Is Xavier going too?”

Lauren replied, “Yes, and Brielle is bringing Valentina with her.”

“Xavier bought two villas at Mount Ardwood. I heard the community there is quite nice.”

“Christopher and Mr. Li are going too.

Sister–in–law, you and Arthur should come with us. Is Jason coming back to Entora this weekend? If he is, the whole family can go for a few days.”

Aunt nodded, “I’ll go ask.”

The concept art was completed, and today the team began to review and discuss it; the entire engineering team was very impressed with Aveline’s concept art and approved it unanimously.

After the meeting, Simon contacted Xavier, “Mr. Beltran, we’ve approved it on our end. If you have no objections, the construction team will follow this concept for the design.”

Xavier had just finished his meeting and sat down in his office, not at all surprised that Aveline’s concept had been unanimously approved.

Although he was no expert, he knew that an amusement park built according to Aveline’s concept

would be a masterpiece.

But out of respect, he asked, “Has Bernard seen it?”

Simon replied, “Mr. Clarke has seen it. He joined our meeting this morning via video, and he really likes the concept design for construction.”

“However, Mr. Clarke is concerned about Dylan’s lawsuit.”

Hearing this. Xavier’s expression turned cold as he thought about the lawsuit. “Tell Bernard it’s fine, there won’t be any trouble.”

“Tell the construction team to start on the design plans. Also, tell them that since the concept art is approved, her team doesn’t need to do on–site analysis. They can return to the city and come back to Mount Ardwood to supervise once construction starts.”
