Chapter 755
Uncle, are you keeping a woman on the side?”
Xavier was already frustrated by Aveline’s misunderstanding, and now the kid was talking nonsense. He got angry.
“What kind of stuff have you been filling that little head of yours with at your age?”
“Even if every man in the world had a woman on the side, your uncle would never,
“Got it?”
Mason could tell Xavier was angry and quickly replied, “Yeah, I get it, Uncle. Don’t be mad.”
“I just heard it from my classmate. His dad has a woman on the side and bought her a villa, so I thought…”
Xavier cut him off. “Don’t just assume things. Ask first.”
“Your uncle has never bought a villa for any woman. Your aunt was just kidding. Understand? Don’t take it seriously and go spreading it around.”
Mason and Valentina replied in unison, “We know.”
Xavier breathed a small sigh of relief. He imagined Mason and Valentina telling their classmates everything that happens at home, just like Mason’s friend did, saying their uncle bought a villa for another woman. Then those classmates would go home and tell their parents, and who knows what kind of rumors would start.
Xavier looked at Aveline’s indifferent face and said in a low voice, “Why would you say something like that in front of the kids? Aren’t you afraid they’ll repeat it?”
Aveline pressed her lips together and said nothing, but she thought to herself, You have the nerve to do it, but you’re scared of people finding out.
Hmph, just putting on an act in front of his own nephew.
Xavier didn’t think Aveline was convinced. He wondered why she thought he’d bought a villa for Josephine.
When they arrived at Sunset Hills Estate, the two villas were next to each other. Both were
situated for a good view and had roughly the same design, the only difference being that one had a blue roof and the other a white one.
The villa with the blue roof had been transferred to the Baldwin family.
Aveline stopped the car in front of the blue–roofed villa’s gate instead of driving directly into the yard. Her meaning was obvious: she wanted Xavier and the two kids to get out and go to The White Crest Villa.
Xavier pretended not to understand and didn’t move.
Aveline had no choice but to say irritably, “Get out.”
Xavier looked at her with a half–smile. “Honey, with so many people around, let’s not fight.”
“Valentina and Mason don’t have to stay here, but I have to.”
Aveline saw Brielle come out of The White Crest Villa and look their way. She gritted her teeth and had no choice but to drive the car into the villa’s yard.
As they got out of the car, Valentina said, “Auntie, can’t I stay here with you?”
Mason chimed in, “I want to stay with Uncle and Auntie too.”
Xavier tried to persuade them, “Be good. Your aunt is tired from work and doesn’t have the energy to take care of you. You should go stay with your mom and dad, and your maternal great- grandfather and grandmother.”
Brielle walked over. “Valentina, Mason, we’re staying over there. It’s late, and your aunt needs to rest. You can’t bother her anymore.”
Lily had to go hug Aveline. “Good night, Aunt.”
Aveline patted her head, said good night to her, then patted Mason’s head and said good night to
him as well.
Amy brought Xavier’s luggage over, and Brielle left with the two kids.
Aveline ignored Xavier and coldly went inside.
Xavier gave a small smile and followed her inside.
Collin and Paulina were sizing up the villa. Seeing them enter, Collin said:
“Aveline, this villa is nice, but the design doesn’t seem like your style.”

When is the novel ending? It’s so unnecessarily long… not a single intimacy or connection just fighting and bickering from the beginning to end...
