Urging Him to Get a Divorce (Aveline and Xavier) novel Chapter 780

**Title: A Divorce**
**Chapter 780**

“What on earth happened?”

Leona’s expression was a storm of concern mixed with anger. She could sense the tension in the air, thick enough to cut with a knife. “Marcus, what is going on? Were you unable to find peace in the dead of night, so you decided to provoke Xavier instead?”

Marcus, feeling the weight of her gaze, hurriedly defended himself, “It’s merely a misunderstanding. Xavier was adamant about waking everyone up.”

“Xavier, let’s resolve this matter quietly between us. We need to clarify this misunderstanding,” Leona urged, her voice steady but laced with urgency.

Xavier, unfazed, replied with an icy calmness, “Amy, you take it from here.”

Panic surged through Marcus. He reached out to Xavier, desperation creeping into his voice. “Alright, let’s step outside and discuss this.”

But Xavier, with a swift motion, swatted Marcus’s hand away, rising to his feet with an expression as cold as steel. In a heartbeat, he delivered a sharp kick that sent Marcus sprawling to the ground.

A chorus of gasps erupted from the women in the room, their eyes wide with shock.

Leona’s disbelief morphed into outrage as she stared at Xavier. “Xavier, have you lost your mind?”

Xavier, unperturbed, took a seat again, his demeanor unchanged. “Amy, it’s your turn. Speak.”

Amy, her voice steady, recounted the events. “Earlier, Mr. Beltran and his wife went for a walk, and I was following them. We stumbled upon Alex and Josephine in a heated argument near the front villas.”

She continued, “As we drew closer, we overheard them discussing an affair—Josephine was blackmailing Alex.”

Leona felt her heart drop, frozen in disbelief. “An affair? What kind of affair?”

Deep down, she had a nagging suspicion about the truth, but she clung to the hope that it wasn’t the sordid affair she feared.

Marcus scrambled to his feet, indignation flaring. “There was nothing inappropriate! I’m the one being wronged here. Josephine has set me up!”

Leona shot him a dark glare, her patience wearing thin. “Where is Josephine? Where is she?”

Her eyes darted to Xavier and Aveline, seeking answers. Xavier regarded her with a chilling indifference, while Aveline mirrored his coldness, leaving Leona feeling isolated.

Only Amy broke the silence. “Heiress, only Alex returned with us. Ms. Sutton went back to her villa.”

Leona’s frustration boiled over. “Why didn’t you bring her back with you?”

Brielle exchanged a knowing glance with Patrick before stepping closer to Leona, her tone softening slightly. “Sister, Josephine isn’t part of our family. How could Xavier bring her here?”

Leona, feeling cornered, pointed an accusatory finger at Aveline. “She’s Aveline’s sister!”

Aveline responded coolly, “I don’t have a sister.”

The finality in her words was clear; she refused to acknowledge this half-sibling, a fact Leona was all too aware of.

In that moment, Leona felt the weight of the world on her shoulders, as if everyone in the room was mocking her. Even Aveline, whom she had always despised, seemed to revel in her humiliation.

“Go get Josephine. I need to confront her about how she orchestrated this trap for Marcus.”
