Ashley paused but said nothing, heading towards the parking lot. Tanya was still there. Seeing them, she walked over.

Chase’s aura was too strong. After greeting Emily, Sheldon and Henry sat with Sam, eating the treats Sam and Chase offered. After the kids were settled, Chase offered Ashley a bottle of drink.”Try it?”

Emily was watching, so Ashley took it.”Thank you.” She took a sip, finding it was her favorite strawberry flavor.

Learning about their skiing trip, Emily told Chase, “Why don’t you go with them? Skiing is dangerous. Ashley can’t handle three children alone. You must be there and give her a hand. With the housekeeper and carer here. You don’t need to worry about me.”

Before Ashley could speak, Chase said, “Okay.”

Sam was thrilled that Chase was joining them. After a while, they left. Chase packed his things and joined them.

They went in two cars. Sam and the Joneses were with Ashley.

At the ski resort, Chase helped Sam with his gear when his phone rang. He walked away to answer it. “I’ll come later.”

Sam asked, “Daddy, who was that?”
