#Chapter 20: No One Would Say No to Marrying Camren Lewis

“You don’t have to go, I got this.” Camren’s deep, magnetic voice exploded next to her left ear.

Unlike the usual commotion, the aftershock of his voice sent a tingling sensation, like a faint electric current, flowing from her left ear straight to her heart.

Britney’s heart seemed to be beating a little too fast..

“Holy smokes, holy smokes, did you see that?!” Nelson’s mouth was wide open, like it could fit an entire egg. He excitedly tugged on Benjamin’s sleeve. “Did you see Camren’s gaze? His move?”

Seriously, was the sun rising from the west today or something?!

“I’m not blind yet.” Benjamin smacked Nelson’s hand away dismissively, but a faint smile played on his lips. Guess Camren finally got what he wanted.

Camren carried Britney to the stage and carefully set her down. One large hand remained possessively wrapped around her slender waist.

He caught sight of her pale collarbone, and his brow furrowed slightly. This wedding dress really wasn’t much. Had he not given them enough money? There was so little fabric.

Britney didn’t realize Camren’s attention was on the dress. Seeing his frown, she figured he thought wasn’t cooperative enough, so she leaned a little closer to him.

Camren unexpectedly lowered his head, meeting her bright smile, and was momentarily lost in thought.

“Hahahaha…” Old Mr. Lewis chuckled contentedly. “What are you waiting for? Let’s get started!”

“Right, right!” The traditional wedding vows were recited clearly and concisely….Whether in poverty or wealth, sickness or health, death will not separate you. Do you agree?”

Britney froze. It was Ryan’s voice. What was he doing here?

She instinctively scanned the crowd for Ryan

Camren’s eyes darkened. His large hand moved up, cupping the back of Britney’s neck, and he lowered his

head to kiss her.

Britney’s eyes widened. She felt Camren’s cool lips, bringing with them a powerful sense of invasion

Before she could even react, he had parted her lips.

He didn’t push it further, just bit her lip lightly, seemingly with a hint of punishment.

Her nose filled with his scent–strong, domineering, undeniable, and utterly possessive.

To outsiders, the kiss was just a light touch. Camren’s large hand was still gently kneading the back of her

neck, naturally circling her into his embrace.

Ryan had already rushed to the front of the stage, his eyes blazing like fire as he stared at the couple

embracing on stage, especially at Britney’s slightly red, swollen upper lip.

He and she had been together for so many years. Every time he touched her, she would instinctively recoil, on

guard.

He knew she wasn’t ready, so he’d rather suppress that primal urge and find someone else to satisfy it than

“Well, that’s thoughtful of you” Camren led Britney to the main seats, and tea was brought over by an

attendant.

Ryan’s face was as black as soot. As two soft cushions were laid out in front of the main seats, his fists clenched even tighter, his knuckles turning white from the force.

Britney remained silent. The earlier surprises had faded back to calm. This was Camren’s show, and she
