Chapter 21 Chapter 21
## Chapter 21: Get to a Doctor If You’re Not Feeling Well
As for the relationship between her and Ryan – even Liam and his wife knew the drill, going by all the past details. But they didn’t care, right? If the Simpson family didn’t even like their own daughter, why should they bother taking her seriously?
Liam got no response, and he knew right then and there. He glared at Ryan, a fierce, blazing anger in his eyes. He wasn’t sure what went down before, but Camren was clearly sticking up for his woman and making sure she established her authority in the Lewis family. Ryan had to show respect, whether he liked it or not.
“Ryan, you’re the junior here. Serving tea is a given.”
“Dad!” Ryan was stunned.
“I told you to serve tea. Are you deaf?” How could Liam not understand his son’s feelings? But at this point, they had no other choice.
Under countless gawking eyes, Ryan gritted his teeth and mechanically picked up the red teacup. His knuckles were white, veins bulging, but he could only submit to Camren’s overwhelming power. He knelt on the cushion, slowly raising both arms to hold up the cup. He squeezed out a few words through clenched teeth, “Auntie, please have some tea.”
Britney had never seen Ryan so utterly humiliated. A mix of emotions swirled within her. She reached out to take the cup, but Camren held her hand back.
“Is this your new wife? Would she like to join in?” Camren’s seemingly casual remark carried a chilling undertone that made Skylar shiver in fear.
Ryan didn’t want to admit it, but if he denied it now, this wedding would truly become a joke, with no room for recovery. He had no choice but to snap at Skylar, “What are you still standing there for? Get down now!”
Skylar bowed her head, trying to hide the hatred in her eyes. This wasn’t how things were supposed to go. She had stolen Ryan, Britney’s supposed savior. Britney was supposed to be devastated, homeless, miserable. But instead, she had become Camren’s woman, and now Skylar had to serve her tea?
That bitch! What low–down trick did she pull?
Someone yanked Skylar’s arm hard, and she lost her balance, collapsing onto the floor. Her knee missed the soft cushion and hit the cold ground, the pain bringing tears to her eyes. “It hurts so much…”
Before she could finish, Ryan shoved the teacup he was holding into her hand, then grabbed another one for himself. “Auntie, please have some tea.”
Skylar knew this wasn’t the time to be stubborn. She reluctantly followed suit, serving the tea, “Auntie, please
have some tea.”

Chapter 21
Britney looked at the two cups offered to her and couldn’t help but remember the day they had embraced. That was a fake wedding, but today was the real deal. The same people were there, but their feelings were completely different.
Britney touched her chest. The heart that had throbbed so painfully that day, making it hard to breathe, was surprisingly calm now. She had always thought she loved Ryan so much, that she couldn’t imagine life without him, which was why she tried so hard to be worthy of him. Turns out, letting go wasn’t that hard after
all.
“What’s wrong? Not feeling well?” Camren gently squeezed her small hand, asking with concern, “Is it too loud? Do your ears hurt?”
Britney shook her head. “It doesn’t hurt. In fact, I actually feel… pretty good inside.”
Camren understood her meaning. He released her hand, personally took the tea from Ryan, and brought it to her lips. Camren was the main attraction at the wedding, the most distinguished person present. His doting, considerate gesture naturally shocked everyone. Britney even heard gasps from the crowd.
Camren leaned in and whispered in her ear, “Does this make you feel better?”
Britney paused. So Camren was doing this on purpose, just to make her look good? Even the usually serious, composed, and humorless Camren would do something like this?
A deeper smile touched her lips. She lowered her head and, with Camren’s hand steadying the cup, took a sip of the tea. Then, she glanced at the cup in Skylar’s hand. “There’s still another one.” Her playful, arrogant look perfectly embodied the spoiled darling.
Camren wasn’t angry; in fact, his gaze softened even more. He obediently took the tea from Skylar’s hand, even lifting the lid and blowing on the already cool tea before offering it to Britney. After she took a sip, he pulled his hand back, his thumb brushing her lips. “How is it? Good?”
Camren hadn’t pressed hard, but Britney felt as if her lips had been singed. She was still unaccustomed to such intimacy. She pulled his larger hand away from her lips, holding it in hers, afraid he would do something else she couldn’t handle.
She nodded. “It’s not bad.”
Camren lowered his gaze and saw their two hands, one large and one small, intertwined. A subtle smile played on his lips.
While Britney and Camren were immersed in their intimate moment, Ryan and Skylar were still kneeling, their knees aching.
Liam coughed loudly, “Cough, cough…”
Camren looked at Britney.
“Cough, cough…”
