You Looked Down on Me Once Now You Look Up (Patricia and Oliver) novel Chapter 658

She kept quiet, barely daring to breathe. If Roger hadn’t tugged at her sleeve, she probably would’ve just stood there, frozen, unable to move her legs. The whole thing was just too much—absolutely terrifying. Her mind was spinning. Jackson was seriously getting gutsy these days, actually bold enough to drag Uncle Oliver into all this.

In early September, Patricia met an investor. He’d started out in real estate and now owned properties all over the world. Lately, he’d been diving into high-end smart homes. They hit it off right away, and within two weeks, the deal was done.

As the end of September rolled around and the National Day holidays were coming up, Patricia booked out the fanciest ballroom in Riverdale for a huge party. Colby said her timing was perfect. If she’d thrown the party too early, people would’ve seen her as just a young girl—no authority, no real influence. Even if they showed up, it would’ve been out of respect for Tina and Emerson, not for her.

But now, Emerson was out of the picture. More than half the company’s management had shifted, and all the key department heads answered to Patricia. She’d just landed a major international contract, and with a heavyweight in real estate backing her, everything was falling into place.

On September 26th, Colby handed her the final design for the ballroom. Patricia skimmed it—blue and white, simple but classy. Just what she liked.

“This is the guest list,” Colby said, handing over another folder. “Also, for Pacific Capital, do you want to deliver the invitation to Mr. Padilla yourself, or should we just send it over with the rest?”

Patricia flipped through the pages. “I’ll take care of it myself.”

“Alright.”

Anything that made it to Patricia’s desk had already been checked from every angle. There was never any drama at this point. She handed the folder back to Colby.
