You Looked Down on Me Once Now You Look Up (Patricia and Oliver) novel Chapter 946

“What did you bring back?”

Patricia finally looked up from her phone, eyeing the takeout bags in their hands. She already had a bad feeling. Whatever was in those bags was probably off-limits to her.

Compared to Sara, who seemed a little embarrassed, Chelsea was totally upfront. “Just some amazing food you’re not allowed to have.”

“I could have a little bit, though.”

Chelsea had fallen for that trick way too many times. Every time Patricia said she’d eat just a little, and Oliver found out, the look he gave Chelsea could kill. It was all blame and irritation, every single time.

“You don’t get to decide,” Chelsea shot back.

“Fine, go make a request. If Mr. Padilla says yes, I’ll let you have a bite.”

Patricia groaned. “You’re so heartless.”

Chelsea rolled her eyes. “If I wasn’t so soft, you wouldn’t fool me this often.”

Patricia just sighed, completely defeated. She could only watch as the two of them dug into grilled skewers and spicy hot pot right across from her. The spicy, mouthwatering smell filled the whole room, making her even more miserable.

Her mood got worse by the minute. When she finally went upstairs, her footsteps were so heavy it was like she wanted to smash right through the stairs.

She was just passing the nursery when she ran into Mr. Padilla. He came out, looking gentle as always. “Did you wash up yet?”

Patricia ignored him completely and stormed into the bathroom.

Mr. Padilla was left standing there, a little lost. He hurried after her. “What’s wrong? Are you upset?”

“Just leave me alone.”

“Did I do something?”

The sound of water running filled the bathroom. Patricia shot him a moody look, her voice accusing. “I want to go out.”

“Just four more days, then you can.”

“I want to go out tomorrow.”
