Alpha’s Betrayal Luna’s Revenge (Samantha) novel Chapter 56

Reagan’s POV

Thankfully, Callan’s legs were slimmer, and his leg slid out of the sock when he shifted. I dragged myself to my prosthetic leg, which was on the ground among my shredded clothes. I smirked as l pushed and pulled the sock over my stump. I finally got to meet the famous Ellie in real life, and all am wearing is a sock and a prosthetic.

I’m sure there is a joke in there somewhere.

I rushed over to Sam and Ellie. To see Sam holding her nose and Ellie stroking the bear cub, “You’re going to be okay now that Ellie is here.” I heard Ellie tell the cub. The blades of the trap piercing its leg must have been painful, but the cub was oddly asleep. I looked at my leg and couldn’t help but notice the similarity between what was happening here and what happened to me. However the cub’s leg remained intact, whereas mine was immediately severed.

From a short distance, I could see a naked Ellie stroking the cub. “There, there. Ellie will not hurt you or your family. Ellie only wants to help.” She told the cub as she rubbed his snout gently. I could feel myself getting an erection watching her. But in my dreams, Ellie was touching me. I needed a quick exit before anyone saw how she was affecting me. “I’ll let you work, and I’ll get John to the car in case he wakes up.”

“May as well, you’re no good for anything else right now,”Ellie snapped unnecessarily at me. “Are you ready, Sam?” Ellie asked her gently. I was shocked as she was hörrible to me only seconds ago. She definitely has a split personality

“Yep,” Sam responded. I walked away before I got the sharp end of Ellie’s tongue again.

As I walked toward a sedated John, I tried to figure out why Ellie hated me so much. I had never done anything to her. I picked John up and threw him over my shoulder. I hope no one is around witnessing a 6-foot-5 naked man carrying a police officer into the woods. I chuckled at the possibilities of what people would think. It lightened my mood on the walk back to John’s car. I threw him in the back and popped the trunk, hoping he had a supply of clothes in there.

He had a few random items, among which was a gym bag.

Most of it was too small, except for a pair of lime-green basketball shorts. It reminded me of the days when Sam would return with some random items from the thrift store. These were simpler days, and I sort of miss them.

Despite her attitude, I took a shirt back for Ellie. I didn’t want her to see how her nudity affected me. How could her attitude be so different from the woman in my dreams? Which confused me as to how I had been dreaming about her, considering we had never met.” must have seen her. That day in the woods. Maybe that’s why,” Callan suggested. It was a valid point. I knew Ellie and Sam had saved me, but I was unconscious, and Callan was barely awake, which is why neither of us remembers what she looked like. That must be it.

“What did Ellie do to the bears and Sam? They were in extreme pain.” Callan asked.

“No clue. I also want to know why Sam shot John. There is more going on here than anyone realizes, and I intend to find out what it is.”

In an attempt to get answers, I rushed back to Sam and Ellie. I walked past shredded clothes and the trang gun.

That was when I noticed another bear on the ground.”

What the goddess?” I asked out loud, then I looked over at Ellie, but I couldn’t see Sam. What had Ellie done to her?

“He’s going to be fine. He just needs to wake up and run off with the rest of them,” Ellie said proudly. Sam got to her feet and hugged Ellie. “I missed you so much,” Sam told Ellie.

Ellie spun Sam around. “You look okay. He can live,” Ellie said, gesturing towards me, causing Sam to snicker. “Sam, can you head home and get me some clothes? I’m going to stay awhile, make sure no one attacks the bears while they’re sleeping. We can have a catch-up when you get back,” Ellie told Sam.

“You never change, Ellie,” Sam said, smiling. I am guessing that was a compliment. I opted to remain with Ellie.

Despite her bad attitude. I wanted to figure out what was going on.

“Oh great. Alone time with my favorite person. Can’t wait.” Ellie muttered, folding her arms. Sam snickered as she left, telling us to be nice to each other. I was speechless. I had never said a bad word about Ellie.

Something about me annoys her. But what?
