Alpha’s Betrayal Luna’s Revenge (Samantha) novel Chapter 77

Ellie’s POV

“Ellie, Ellie. Wake up,” a familiar voice called my name while shaking me. Kiki growled.

“What happened?” I asked as I opened my eyes to see Reagan with a concerned look on his face.

“I’m sorry. It was the only way to stop you,” he said apologetically. I was about to ask him what he was talking about when Kiki spoke.

“He must have been the one to mark you,” Kiki informed me before growling again. I was shocked. Marking

– someone without their consent? Reagan wouldn’t do that.

Would he? I reached up and touched my neck, and there were several small lumps. Signifying he had. I couldn’t believe it.

I thrashed out of his arms, yelling at him to get off me. I landed on the ground and touched my neck again. Still not believing he had done something so intimate to me. pushed myself to my feet. Which was when everything came back to me. Sam, in such a humiliated and beaten state, the feeling of my anger escalating into an uncontrollable rage, before blacking out.

Kiki wanted to rip Reagan apart. But no matter what | wanted to do to him, there was one person who needed me. “Where is Sam?” I yelled.Reagan looked confused. “I don’t know. I was looking fo her when I found you.”

If what he is saying is true, Sam could be anywhere. “She was here, naked and bleeding. Someone was dragging her away as she cried for help, and through it all, this bunch of filth watched. Not one of them was willing to help her,” I yelled at him, gesturing to the people on the ground. I felt disappointed that they were still alive. I think Reagan saved them when he marked me. Kiki growled at my thought.

“What?” Reagan yelled. “Ellie, there must have been some misunderstanding. These are the Alpha’s and Luna’s of the kingdom’s packs. They wouldn’t stand around and watch as…” he stopped talking as he picked up a piece of a white dress. He touched the fabric gently before releasing an almighty growl.

The whimpering people on the ground strained and squirmed, baring their necks to Reagan. I have seen this happen before in animals. When the Alpha is angry. That must mean that Reagan is superior to them all. “Where is she? Where is Sam?” he boomed. No one answered him.” You were all here. Where was the girl who wore this dress?” he yelled, holding the white piece of material in the air.

I looked at Reagan. If he had my powers, I think he would have done exactly what I did. Reagan rushed to a woman on our left as she tried to speak. “Tell us what you know,” Reagan demanded authoritatively. The woman wearing a velvet green dress lay on the ground, looking severely disheveled. She gasped for breath as she tried to speak. “A rogue wore that dress. The other woman in a white dress cut it off her as she was pinned to the ground. That was before several people beat her. Last I saw of the rogue, she was being taken to be disposed of.” Hearing her words caused me to grind my teeth as I tried to control myself. But it wasn’t working.

The woman began screaming.

“Ellie. Ellie,” Reagan yelled, shaking me. “You’re going to kill everyone in the palace, even those who weren’t here.

Not everyone is guilty.”

“They deserve to die for not helping her,” I yelled, waving my arms around.

“We will deal with them after we have found Sam,” he said. He was, of course, right? “I will personally make sure they are punished. But we have to find Sam.”

“You had better deal with them. Or I will. I will..” I lifted my hand and clenched it in front of his face. I have a lot to deal with after I find Sam, but these evil people need to be taught a lesson.

Reagan may not be mine or Kiki’s favorite person right now. But he has authority here at the palace, and I may need him. “Let’s go,” I instructed Reagan. Just as we were about to leave, someone called out his name. He grabbed my arm, stopping me from moving. “Caspian, over here,” he yelled. I turned to see what the pathetic excuse of a mate looked like. You could tell he was related to Reagan.

But this man was surrounded by guards. How could he protect Sam if he was relying on others to protect him?

I growled as he got closer to me, and then I couldn’t help myself. “You let her get hurt. You are a pathetic excuse for a man and a mate.” I screamed at him. I am guessing he is not used to being scolded, as he looked terrified. I was about to lunge at him when Reagan stepped in front of- me, holding up the white material.

“Sam’s been hurt and taken by a woman in a white dress.

Apparently to be dealt with.” Caspian roared so loudly that the windows rattled.

Caspian looked around and then stared at Reagan. “Where is Evelyn? That fucking bitch, I bet that’s who’s got her.” He boomed and punched a column. I could hear his bones break, but he didn’t complain.

I don’t know who Evelyn is, but Reagan’s posture and facial expression told me he knew who she was. Ignoring what was going on, I turned and began making my way to where Whad seen Sam last. That’s where I needed to be so l could track her scent.

Caspian hurried past us and grabbed Phillip by the throat.

I could see Caspian’s claws extending; he was going to kill Phillip. Having met both Phillip and Sasha, I knew how the pair felt about one another. Phillip would have done anything to protect Sasha. I stepped in front of Phillip before Caspian could strike him. “You will not harm a man for protecting his mate or pup. Not when you couldn’t even protect your own.” I yelled at Caspian. He growled at me, so I growled back. I am not intimidated by him.

“Pack it in, you two. We need to get Sam and Sasha back.Caspian, you deal with that lot in there, and Ellie and I will get the girls back,” Reagan told us. His dismissive attitude toward Caspian made me smirk.

“Sam is my mate. I will be the one to get her back.”

“I don’t think it’s wise to have you and Ellie in the same space as one another,” Reagan told his Caspian. “Ellie is a force to be reckoned with. She nearly wiped out half the palace, and she nearly killed you. I can’t help Sam if l am worrying about you two killing each other.” Reagan placed a hand on Caspian’s shoulder. “I’m immune to Ellie’s power, and I have Callan’s aura. We are Sam’s best chance,” Reagan said. I may not be happy with Reagan.

But it made logical sense for the strongest of us to go and get Sam and Sasha.

i looked at Caspian. “I promise you I will be killing anyone involved in her kidnapping. If you want to be one of them, feel free to come along. But I will be showing no mercy.

Go deal with the ones that watched my sister be assaulted.”

His nostrils flared, and a vein in his neck throbbed. “Bring her back to me,” he said through gritted teeth.

I sneered at him. “I will be saving her. What she chooses to do after that is up to her.”

His expression changed from anger to shock. This made me smile. He must be aware that I am not one to do as l am told. I am one to do what is right. If Sam chooses to come home with me. No one will stop me from taking her.
