Alpha’s Betrayal Luna’s Revenge (Samantha) novel Chapter 79

Ellie’s POV

I ran after Reagan as he went into the garage. He seemed to know something I didn’t.

Everywhere | looked, there were lots of gorgeous new cars. But there in the distance, sticking out like a sore thumb, was a truck that looked just like Bessie. As l followed Reagan, I realized it was my truck, and someone had smashed the window. “What the hell happened to my truck?” I yelled. I love this truck, and someone has hurt it.

“‘I’ll explain later,” Reagan said as he climbed into the car next to it. I was unhappy as I wanted him to explain now.

But I followed suit. I was wondering how he was going to drive with a prosthetic. But my curiosity didn’t seem to stop him from getting behind the wheel. As soon as my butt touched the seat, Reagan put the car in drive. Just as he gripped the steering wheel, ready to drive, Phillip jumped in front of the car, hitting the bonnet. Reagan Lowered his window. “You idiot, I could have run you over.

You know I haven’t driven this thing yet.”

“I’m coming with you,” Phillip yelled while walking around the car. Reagan pressed a button to lock the doors.

Reagan shook his head. “No, it’s too dangerous. You could get hurt.”

“That’s why I need to go. Sasha was taken because of me.

She is my mate. It is my responsibility to help save her.”Phillip yelled.

1 understood his behavior. He is part animal, after all.

Males are protective of their females in most of the animal kingdom, especially when they are pregnant. But I have plans for those who took Sam and Sasha. It will be painful and fatal for everyone involved. Phillip would be putting himself at risk if he were even close. “‘ll deal with him,” I told Reagan as I climbed out of the car.

Phillip’s devastated expression clearly showed his worry. I walked over to him, placing my hands on his shoulders.” Phillip, I met Sasha. She is lovely, and she has cared for Sam while she has been here.” I took a deep breath before looking him in the eyes and trying to calm myself. “I want you to know that l am going to get them both back.” I watched as his nostrils flared. “I want you to know that will bring them both back safely.” Phillip stumbled toward me. I grabbed hold of the back of his neck and pulled his face into my neck so he could inhale my scent. I heard Reagan growl behind me.

Kiki growled, “How dare he think he has a claim on us?” She said nastily. Ignoring them both. I focused on Phillip.

“Phillip, I want you to know that I will do everything in my power to bring your mate home to you. I want you to know that those responsible for taking her will pay.” Phillip’s knees gave way, and I guided his body to the ground. “I promise you, Phillip, they won’t make it out alive,” I told Phillip as he lay there sleeping.Reagan was staring at me as I climbed back into the car.

What did you do to him?”

“Only what l once did to Callan. I helped him relax so much that I put him to sleep.” I buckled my seat belt.

“How?” Reagan questioned.

“Haven’t you figured it out? I’m special. Now, if you don’t mind,” I gestured to him to get the car moving.

“Actually, what?” I snapped.

“It’s an old thing from my bloodline that I once heard about. The pain of my mark will probably increase until either your wolf mends the mark, which will take a while.

Or we mate.”

“Great. You mark me without my consent, and I’m the one who suffers.” I snapped angrily. “Calm down, Ellie,” Reagan told me. My head nearly exploded.

“Easy for you to say. Unlike you, I’ve been marked and now have to suffer.”

“Look. I tried to stop you, and it didn’t work. Marking you was the only thing I could think of.” I sighed loudly, believing he would have tried something else. “I’m sorry, alright,” he yelled as a form of apology.

I looked out of the window. I was angrier with myself than I was at Reagan.

Getting so close to Sam was the big mistake in all of this. I adore her, but she’s the one who made me lose it. “After all of this is over, we may need to let Sam go. I can’t risk losing control again. I just can’t.” I told Kiki, who whined, but agreed with me. This long trip away from South View also confirmed that I need to stay there. Not necessarily because I want to. But because it is safe.
