Reagan’s POV
Ellie stroked the bunny the whole way to the palace. As we reached the palace gates, they were open, and it was unguarded. I drove straight inside, unchecked, which was worrying. As I drove toward the palace itself, I could see a huge crowd of people surrounded by the royal guards. “Thank the goddess, there, here and safe,” I said before I heard crying coming from the crowd. It was so loud I heard it even though I was inside the car.
“What’s going on here?” I yelled.
Kevin approached me. “Why isn’t there anyone at the gate?” I yelled at him. “You are leaving the palace open to attack.” Kevin snickered at me.
“Reagan. The Alpha King brought all these rogues back. If there is any danger of an attack. It will be from this filthy lot.” He spat on the ground. “That’s why the Wolf Council has dragged him into an emergency meeting. To discuss the consequences of his actions. Until further notice, the royal guard only takes answers from Head Council Member, Lincoln.”
“What?” I yelled. Ellie appeared at my side, and I told her what Kevin had told me.
“You get to Caspian. I will deal with the Royal Guard.”
“No, Ellie. What if you lose control?”
She held up the bunny. “I don’t know where Sam is. But I know Baby Elis is being held prisoner with his parents. Don’t worry about I have an anchor,” She said, giving me a small smile. I didn’t have time to argue with her. Caspian won’t know he is in danger of being dethroned right now.
I raced up to his office, taking the door off its hinges as I barged through it. Caspian sat at the head of the table. Sam stood beside him.
Wolf Council members filled every seat but Lincoln’s, and he was standing holding a paper. “Thank the goddess, Sam is alive and safe,”! told Callan as I made my way toward Caspian.
“This has nothing to do with you, Reagan. Leave.” Lincoln yelled at me.
“Like hell I will. I want to know what is going on.”
“You are not the Alpha King. This is a private meeting.
“Private. Then why is she here?” I asked smugly, pointing at Sam.
“Very well, your majesty, I will have someone send for the paperwork,” Lincoln said, his eyes glazing over.
Caspian got to his feet. “I have to go. Something is wrong. The royal guard has been incapacitated.”
“The rogues have attacked the royal guard and incapacitated them?”
Lincoln questioned.*Oh, did 1 not mention? 1 brought a friend with me, a lone wolf whe lives hidden in the human world. Did you hear what happened at the palace during the Alpha King’s mating ceremony? It was her.?I looked at Sam, You see, she has a special ability to kill when she is angered The rogue camp you attacked. They are her friends, and her sister was among them.”
Lincoln looked shocked
You’d better go, Sam, Your sister is looking for you,” said with a grin, Informing every person in the room about how important Sam is, She has the support of Caspian and me, But most importantly, she has Ellie. Let’s see if anyone is stupid enough to try to harm her now.
