Even after applying the medicine for Sam, Maddox was in no hurry to leave. He looked at Sam's serious expression and easily guessed what was on his mind.
"Sam, try asking Ms. Quinn about this when she wakes up. If she's not willing to say anything, don't force her.
"Just investigate the incident in private. You'd better also find Ms. Quinn a reliable psychiatrist to counsel her." Maddox suggested as he began packing up his medicine box.
Sam knew that he could not afford any delays under such circumstances. The longer it took, the worse her mental health would become.
"Do you know any reliable psychiatrists?"
"I do know a few, but not well. I'll gather the information I have about them when I get back later and send it to your inbox," Maddox said as he finished packing his medicine box.
When Sam saw that he was about to leave, he thought of something and suddenly said, "Leave the antiseptic and the cotton buds. I remember that your hospital has a very effective scar cream. Send me ten boxes tomorrow."
Maddox's voice boomed as he cried out incredulously, "Ten boxes? Sam, are you going to use that cream like a facial mask? Wait a moment. I don't remember you ever caring about your looks.
"When someone tried to assassinate you overseas and you got that long gash in your leg, I told you that I'd bring you medicine to get rid of the scar so that it wouldn't look so terrifying. You told me not to bother because scars are like badges of honor for men!"
Maddox indicated the length of the cut with his hands as he spoke.
Maddox was being very dramatic, and Sam stole a glance at Madison. He said coldly, "Lower your voice."
While resigned, Maddox did try to speak more softly after that.
Sam explained. "It's not for me. She's got some scratches too."
"Got it." Maddox left the antiseptic and the cotton buds with him and said goodbye. Once he was gone, Sam went over to the bed with the antiseptic and the cotton buds.
