Maggie seethed with resentment. She’d always looked down on Athena, never imagining the day would come when the person she despised most would be the one to bring her to her knees.

Her eyes burned with rage, and for a moment, she wanted nothing more than to storm out and confront Athena, consequences be damned.
But she forced herself to stay calm. Abner was still here, and she couldn’t afford to lose her composure.
Eventually, Maggie was escorted away.
On the other side of the estate, Athena—still using her alias, Anna—rested quietly in Tyler’s arms. Tyler assumed she was shaken by everything that had happened and tried to comfort her. “Just stay home and rest for now. Looks like Maggie and Marlon’s wedding is off. I have no idea why Grandma Edith suddenly took your side.”
Athena kept her eyes closed and managed a faint smile, guessing that Grandma Edith was probably already rushing to get a DNA test done.
She was right. Grandma Edith had abruptly left her guests behind, sent Marlon’s father home, and arranged for a paternity test without a second thought.
Marlon’s father, Lucien Keller, had spent most of his life working abroad in a highly confidential field. It was rare for him to be home at all.
“Mom, what on earth is going on?” he asked, puzzled.
Lucien’s wife had died young, her health broken after their daughter was stolen away; she never recovered, and grief claimed her soon after. Perhaps that’s why Grandma Edith doted on Marlon all the more.
“It’s nothing, Lucien. Stay home for a few days. I can’t say anything until we get the results,” she said, her tone firm but gentle.

Author, would you story about Ryan settling down and another story on Eric regaining his body and memories back from Patrick, and Eric also settling down as I find it so disheartening for him to have gone through what he went through at the research institute, and I'll like for him to get his "golden boy" life back though, not at the detriment of Ian....
