During the shoot, Ethan Carter wandered over to watch from the sidelines.
Davina Ford and the others, seasoned pros at this, took charge of arranging the baby’s poses and fussed over the background, making sure everything looked just right.
Olivia Bennett insisted on taking the photos herself.
It didn’t take long at all.
In less than an hour, they’d snapped a whole bunch of adorable pictures.
Afterwards, Ethan scooped up baby Carey. The little guy nestled in his arms, making soft little noises that sounded dangerously close to crying.
Olivia quickly set down her camera and hurried over to soothe him.
Luckily, Carey was just bluffing. After a couple of quiet whimpers, he settled down.
Olivia let out a relieved sigh.
“He’s not really crying,” Ethan said, almost proud.
Olivia grinned, tapping Carey’s cheek with her finger. “He knows he’s got an audience. Too shy to make a fuss.”
Davina, watching this cozy family scene, blurted out, “Let me take a few family shots for you guys! All three together.”
Olivia paused, glancing at Ethan. “You up for that?”
There was a spark of excitement in her eyes.
Ethan met her gaze, his own eyes warm. “Sure, sounds good.”
Olivia gave a playful smile, smoothing her hair. “Guess I should freshen up a little.”
“No need,” Elaine Carter chimed in, laughing. “You look great as you are, Liv! Makeup’s perfect, outfit’s great.”
She had dressed up for the occasion, wearing a stylish green dress, her short hair framing her face, makeup on point—elegant and full of energy.
Convinced, Olivia gave herself a quick once-over and nodded. “Alright then, let’s do it.”
Damian watched fondly from nearby. “Carey’s just getting cuter every day. Looks exactly like Olivia did when she was little—those same big eyes, that sweet smile. Absolutely adorable.”
Lance shot him a look, not to be outdone. “He looks just like Ethan too. Practically identical.”
“….”
Adelina Lane rolled her eyes. “Oh, come on, you two. How can he look exactly like both Ethan and Olivia at the same time?”
Lance didn’t miss a beat. “Well, it’s true. We’ve got Ethan’s baby photos, right? Let’s compare!”
Damian’s face fell for a moment, his eyes clouding over.
He remembered taking tons of photos of Olivia when she was little—back when he and Beatty did everything together. But now, he didn’t have a single one left.
The thought made his resentment towards Mason Bennett flare up all over again.
He shook it off, then looked over at Olivia. “Hey, Olivia, do you have any pictures of yourself when you were a kid?”
