Goodbye My Arrogant Ex (Marguerite and Leonard) novel Chapter 331

That evening, they all went out for dinner together.

“Hannah, I heard you didn’t go back to your old dance studio, but instead started working at a much bigger one. I’m really happy for you,” Marguerite said warmly as soon as she saw Hannah Austin. “I’d love to see you perform on stage someday—you’re always so beautiful when you dance. If you ever have a show, please invite me. I really mean it.”

Marguerite’s enthusiasm was genuine. Ever since they'd cleared the air between them and let go of old grudges, everything felt lighter. Sharing their secrets had brought a new ease to their relationship, something that made even simple greetings like this feel different—more heartfelt.

“Of course, I’d love for you to come see me dance,” Hannah replied, her eyes bright. “The new studio actually belongs to one of Hogan’s friends, and it’s a lot bigger than my last one. Honestly, I wasn’t planning to switch jobs at first—I thought it would be exhausting. I’m teaching a group of students who are preparing for their certification exams, so the pressure’s been pretty intense. But the kids really like me, and I’m finally starting to settle in.”

She leaned in a little, lowering her voice conspiratorially. “The best part is, I’m getting ready for an important audition right now. If I pass, I’ll get the chance to perform on an even bigger stage. So yes, I’m really excited. But what makes me happiest is being able to sit here and talk with you. Our friendship has grown so much stronger.”

Their conversation was open and lively, as if no time had passed at all. Hannah shared everything that had been going on in their lives lately. The reason they hadn’t been in touch much was simple—they’d been completely wrapped up in the sweetness of new love.

They were truly in love, and this time, it made them cherish each other all the more. It was obvious to Marguerite, and it filled her with joy to see them both so happy and full of energy.

He grew a little more serious. “I know things have been tough for you at home, and yet you’ve still worried about me every day. I can’t help but feel guilty—I never wanted you to carry my burdens on top of your own.”

He let out a breath, a soft smile on his lips. “But things are better now. I promise I’ll cherish Hannah and never take her for granted. I want to give her all the love I have and make sure she’s happy for the rest of our lives.”

His words were firm and heartfelt. After everything they’d been through, he realized just how much he valued this relationship—and how much he wanted to make it last.
