I Owe the Tyrant Four Little Heirs novel Chapter 115

“Niamh, how are you settling in on your business trip? Is your boss giving you any trouble?”

Niamh quickly replied, “Dad, I’m doing fine. Don’t worry. How are you and the kids? Are the four of them behaving?”

Cassian Lynn added, “The children are being good. But you need to take care of yourself out there. Your health hasn’t been the same since you had the quadruplets.”

Her father’s words made Niamh’s eyes well up. It was true. Ever since giving birth, she had suffered from chronic back pain and an irregular menstrual cycle.

Jareth, who had come out for a glass of water, overheard Cassian’s voice message.

“Niamh, I found a very reputable traditional medicine practitioner for you,” Cassian sent in another message. “When you get back, I’ll take you to see him. These postpartum issues need to be treated when you’re young. If you wait until you’re in your thirties or forties, it will be too late.”

“I know, Dad,” Niamh typed back.

“I’m sorry, Niamh,” Cassian’s voice message continued, filled with self-reproach. “It’s all my fault. I didn’t raise your sister right, and it caused you so much pain.”

“Dad, I’m not in pain. I have my four children. Isn’t that wonderful?”

“But Niamh, raising four kids on your own is too hard. Maybe… maybe you should find a boyfriend? A friend of mine has a son who’s divorced with two kids. He makes good money and isn't bad-looking. I saw a picture, and I think you two would be a good match. When you come back, I’ll set up a date for you, okay?”

“Dad, do I have to?” Niamh asked meekly.

“Niamh, I’m begging you. If you keep pushing yourself like this, what will happen if you collapse?”

“Dad, don’t worry, I won’t collapse. I didn’t collapse five years ago, and I certainly won’t now.”

“Niamh, just this once, please listen to me. Will you just meet my friend’s son?”

Niamh considered it for a moment and finally relented. “Okay, fine.”

Her father had brought this up countless times, and she had always refused. But today, she agreed. She had to admit, having someone to take care of her when she was sick was a nice thought. She was only agreeing to meet the guy; whether she actually liked him was another story.
