I Owe the Tyrant Four Little Heirs novel Chapter 166

And his children were living in a place like this.

“Niamh, are you an idiot? The company is offering you a large, free apartment, and you’re turning it down to stay in this shoebox?” Jareth snapped.

Niamh jutted out her chin.

“I think it’s great,” she retorted. “It’s lively with the whole family squeezed together.” Then, thinking of the client whose house she cleaned, she added, “Some people live in huge houses all by themselves. What’s the point of all that cold, empty space?”

Jareth’s brow furrowed. Was she talking about him? He lived alone in a five-thousand-square-foot mansion, a loneliness so profound that most people could never understand it.

He changed the subject. “Niamh, which preschool do the quadruplets attend?”

“Sunshine Kindergarten,” she replied.

“I’ve never heard of it.”

“Oh, it’s just a very ordinary private preschool.”

A flicker of annoyance crossed Jareth’s face. His children deserved to attend the best preschool in the country, not some “ordinary” place. What if they picked up bad habits?

“Ms. Lynn, no matter how tight money is, you can’t skimp on your children’s education,” Jareth said sternly. “We need to switch their school. How about this? Next Monday, you take the quadruplets to enroll at Cliffhaven International Preschool.”

Cliffhaven International Preschool? That was a school for the elite. The tuition for one child was over two hundred thousand a year. How could a poor woman like her afford that, let alone for four children?

“Are you dense, Ms. Lynn? What is there to think about?” Jareth scolded.

Niamh was speechless. Where her children went to school was her business. Why was he suddenly so invested?

“There’s nothing to think about. I’ve made the decision for you. They will start at Cliffhaven International Preschool tomorrow,” he declared.

He then pulled out his phone and dialed a number. “Hello, this is Jareth. Does the school have scholarship spots for low-income students each year?”

Niamh stepped forward to stop him, but Jareth pointed a finger at her, his glare a clear warning to stay quiet.
