I Owe the Tyrant Four Little Heirs novel Chapter 167

Niamh froze, watching him helplessly.

“Next Monday, I will personally bring four children to enroll at your school,” Jareth continued.

Hearing that he would personally bring her children to school set off alarm bells in Niamh’s head. What was he up to? Why was he doing this? As much as she wanted her children to attend a school like Cliffhaven International Preschool, her current situation made it impossible. Even if tuition was free, she had heard that the cost of living and other expenses there were exorbitant. Plus, children who attended the preschool usually continued on to the elementary and middle schools. What if those weren't free? How could she possibly afford it?

This was absolutely out of the question. He wasn’t helping her; he was pushing her into a pit of fire. She believed her children were brilliant and would succeed no matter where they studied.

“Mr. Bragg,” she said, her tone pleading, “I can’t even pay back the fifty-thousand-dollar debt I owe you. How could I possibly afford to send the quadruplets to such a prestigious preschool?” She clasped her hands together. “Mr. Bragg, I’m begging you, please, just leave me alone. Let me make my own decisions about my children and my life.”

“You can have your way on other things, but when it comes to the quadruplets’ education, you will listen to me,” Jareth said, his voice hard as steel.

“Why should I listen to you?” Niamh shot back, her emotions getting the better of her.

“You’re not their father! You have no right to interfere in my life!” she screamed. This was insane. He was actually trying to control her personal life.

“Mr. Bragg, what are you really after?” she asked, convinced that a businessman like him would never help her for no reason.

Jareth met her gaze for a long moment before answering decisively. “I see potential in you. I’m doing this so that you’ll be motivated to work hard for the company and create even greater value in the future.”

It was a good excuse. He almost believed it himself.
