I Owe the Tyrant Four Little Heirs novel Chapter 19

Niamh quickly pushed against his chest, turning her head away. “Cormac, it’s over between us. Please, get a grip.”

But he wasn't listening. He pressed his lips against hers.

Smack!

Niamh’s hand flew up instinctively, striking him across the face.

Cormac stumbled back, his hand on his stinging cheek, his eyes wide with disbelief. The Niamh who used to flutter around him like a butterfly had just slapped him.

“You don’t love me anymore?” he asked, his voice filled with pain.

“No,” Niamh answered without hesitation, her face a mask of anger. “I stopped loving you five years ago! Cormac, if you have any decency left, please leave me alone. I just want to do my job in peace. I don’t have the time or the energy for your drama.”

She violently wiped her mouth, yanked the door open, and ran out.

Rhoslyn was standing right outside.

Their eyes met, a silent battle raging between them.

Niamh brushed past her without a word and hurried away.

As she passed the CEO’s office, Jareth was just coming out. Niamh was moving so fast she nearly crashed into his wheelchair.
