I Owe the Tyrant Four Little Heirs novel Chapter 90

Jareth had slipped in backstage right after Charlene was taken away by the paramedics. It was obvious to him that someone was targeting Jareth Media, trying to sabotage their runway debut. When Charlene’s assistant started to move forward to stop Niamh, Jareth held her back with a silent gesture.

Under Niamh’s skilled hands, the dress was beginning to take on a new, more compelling shape. Xylon watched his reflection in the mirror, his initial disdain slowly morphing into astonishment. The crowd of onlookers began to whisper.

“I never would have guessed. Mr. Bragg’s secretary actually has some serious skills.”

“After she cut it… it actually looks better, doesn’t it?”

“It really does.”

“Looks can be deceiving.”

Hearing their comments, Niamh’s confidence surged. After finishing the cuts, she picked up the discarded ink bottle and deliberately splattered more ink across the skirt, creating a dynamic, abstract pattern.

Jareth’s stern expression softened. He had never realized the girl had such a flair for design. He’d seen Charlene’s original sketches; while the dress was well-designed, it lacked a certain something. Niamh’s bold alterations had transformed it, giving it a sense of completeness it hadn't had before.

“Mr. Bragg, are you sure this is okay? Niamh is cutting the dress to pieces,” Charlene’s assistant whispered anxiously.

As Charlene’s right-hand, she should have been the one to handle this crisis, but now Niamh had stolen the spotlight. The entire backstage area was buzzing, and everyone, including Mr. Bragg himself, was looking at Niamh with admiration.

“Get more security,” Jareth ordered, his voice low but firm. “No one is to go near Xylon. Do you understand?”

“Yes, Mr. Bragg.”

Fabian just roared with laughter.

By the time Jareth returned to his seat, the host was on stage. “And now, please put your hands together for the ten summer designs from Jareth Media!”

The audience erupted in applause.

After sending Xylon onto the runway, Niamh slipped away from the backstage chaos. She had a feeling her modified design would be well-received, but she was not prepared for the reaction it actually got.

The moment Xylon appeared, a wave of excited murmurs swept through the audience.

“Jareth Media’s summer collection is incredible this year. And that piece on Xylon… that’s going to be the hit of the season.”
