I Owe the Tyrant Four Little Heirs novel Chapter 91

“The designer is a genius.”

“Quick, get the order forms ready. First thing tomorrow, send them to Jareth Media. Fifty thousand units for the first nine pieces, and two hundred thousand for that last one.”

Standing beside Jareth, Niamh listened to the buzz, so overcome with emotion that tears welled in her eyes. Even though she wasn't the official designer, their praise gave her an immense boost of confidence. At least now she knew she had real talent.

As soon as the show concluded, Jareth left the hall, deciding on a whim to head to the bar on the thirteenth floor. He hadn't set foot in a place like this in the five years since his parents’ accident, but tonight, he felt a rare urge to celebrate.

“Mr. Bragg, I don’t really like places like that. Can I sit this one out?” Niamh protested when she heard his plan. Her father had always warned her that girls should avoid bars and clubs.

“Niamh, I’m in a good mood today. Are you trying to ruin it?” Jareth asked, his tone leaving no room for argument.

Niamh had no choice but to follow him.

The bar was packed, a chaotic swirl of bodies moving to the thumping rhythm of the music. The scene made her uneasy.

Jareth requested a private room, but Niamh hesitated at the door, reluctant to be alone with him in such a confined space.

What if he got drunk? What if he tried something?

She knew she was probably overthinking it, but as the saying went, you should never assume the worst of people, but you should always be prepared for it.

She had learned that lesson the hard way with Rhoslyn, who she thought would never betray her. In the end, Rhoslyn had nearly destroyed her.

She pushed Jareth’s wheelchair inside and was about to turn and leave when he spoke, his voice dripping with scorn. “Niamh, you’re not my type. Don’t flatter yourself.”

Niamh froze, stung by his words.
