"Then what do we do?" I asked, my voice trembling with anxiety. "Doctor, is there anything you can suggest?"

"Our recommendation is to find a top-tier hospital and specialist in cardiac care," he said gravely. "They can run new tests and develop a proper treatment plan. Your uncle's situation is extremely critical. The sooner you act, the better."

I left the doctor's office in a daze, my body moving on autopilot as I collapsed onto a bench in the hallway. Even with a second chance at life, was I still destined to lose Uncle Julian?

How was I supposed to find a top hospital? And even if I did, the medical bills would be astronomical. Where would I get that kind of money on such short notice?

My mind raced, and an idea sparked. I pulled out my phone and called Myron. His family might not be on the same level as Steven's, but they were still a powerful family, and he was Steven's best friend. He had to know people.

The call connected quickly. "To what do I owe the pleasure?" Myron's lazy, charming voice purred through the phone.

"Myron, I need a favor," I said, getting straight to the point.

"Anything for you," he replied breezily. "Name it. If it's within my power, I'll make it happen."

Since he was being so agreeable, I didn't beat around the bush. "I need to find the best cardiac specialist in the country. Do you have any connections?"

There was a pause on the other end. "Uh, is this about your uncle? Is something wrong?"

"Yes."

Myron, who had been so confident a moment ago, suddenly sounded hesitant. "Look, if you needed a designer, a model, someone in entertainment, I could find you a dozen. But a top doctor, a heart specialist… that's not really my world. I've barely set foot in a hospital my whole life."
