Karma Doesn’t Sleep The Revenge Queen Rises novel Chapter 552

After hanging up, Amelia waited quietly in her hospital room for Shane to show up.

Donna noticed how pale Amelia still looked. Worried that Timmy might be a little too much for her right now, Donna coaxed him off the bed and asked him to help Jinx with her homework in the corner.

Well, to be honest, it was more like Timmy was tutoring Jinx.

Timmy’s homework from the gifted class was nothing like the stuff Jinx brought home. He folded his arms, looking all serious and teacher-like as he watched over Jinx’s progress.

Today’s assignment was a Spanish quiz.

Jinx was a little scared of Timmy. She kept sneaking glances at his face, trying to figure out if he was annoyed, while frowning at the first multiple-choice question.

She thought about it for a while, then decided to pick A and started to write it down.

Timmy cleared his throat. “Try again.”

Jinx froze. She quietly erased her answer and changed it to B, then peeked up at Timmy, looking uncertain.

“Is… is this okay?” she asked softly.

Timmy didn’t say anything for a moment.

How can someone be this clueless? he thought, but he kept his mouth shut.

Compared to his chubby desk mate Cooper, who he could call an idiot three times a day without blinking, Jinx was just so much more sensitive. With Cooper, it was all jokes. But with Jinx… Timmy honestly felt like she would burst into tears if he so much as frowned at her.

He let out a sigh, pulled out some paper and a pencil from his backpack, and started explaining the question step by step.

“You can’t pick B either. Look here…”

The two of them bent over the paper together, one carefully teaching, the other quietly listening. The whole scene was gentle and sweet.

Donna couldn’t drive, so she knew Patrick must have brought them here. But he wasn’t with them now.

Donna shook her head, looking helpless. Patrick had been driving her and Timmy around these past few days, and she’d gotten to know him a bit. He was the son of the Sadinton family’s old butler—almost like family to Amelia.

“He’s just being stubborn. He says he didn’t protect you well enough and can’t face you right now. He’s waiting downstairs.”

Amelia frowned. “That’s not his fault. I’ll talk to him once I’m feeling better.”

Donna nodded. “You’re probably the only one he’d listen to.” She glanced at Jinx, then suddenly remembered the man she’d seen at the elevator earlier.

Donna had noticed that there were only three patient suites on this floor, and the other two were empty. That meant the man she’d run into by the elevator was probably here for Amelia.

“Mrs. Sadinton, I ran into a strange man at the elevator…” Donna briefly described what the man looked like. As soon as Amelia heard it, she knew Donna had seen Felix.
