Watching the stunt plane soar across the blue sky, Nicolas felt a bit dazed.

‘Is… Zoya at the controls?‘ he couldn’t help but wonder.

The plane even pulled off several tricky maneuvers that even an amateur like him knew were tough.

The crowd below kept gasping in amazement.

“What, stunned speechless?” Eowyn taunted. “You’re so pathetic, thinking Zoe would be jealous of Jasmine just because Jasmine could fly a plane. You underestimate her.”

Nicolas‘ face turned bright red, That comment stung like a real blow to the ego. For a moment, he had no idea how to respond.”

After a while, Zoya’s plane slowly landed, and she stepped out, looking sharp.

Nicolas walked up. “You really… can fly a plane.”

“So what if I can? Big deal, right?” Zoya said nonchalantly..

Nicolas felt his ears burn. Before she boarded, he thought she was just jealous of Jasmine and boasting out of pride. He thought she was overconfident and clueless/

Now he realized she genuinely didn’t care.

If one already had mountains of gold, they wouldn’t care about others‘ little stash.

“When did you… learn to fly a plane?” Nicolas’s voice cracked. He only knew she was a military veteran, not that she could fly a plane.

Zoya sneered at him. “Now you wanna know about my past?”

Back when he proposed, she wanted to share her history, but he just said, “Your past doesn’t matter to me; I care about the future.”

She thought he truly cared about their future. Only later did she realize he didn’t care about her, so he didn’t want to know her past.

Nicolas looked flustered. Just then, a few guys walked over. It was his buddies.

“Nicolas, Jasmine’s looking for you at the exhibit hall. What are you doing here?” Darren and his gang came up.

Seeing Zoya, they immediately sneered, “Is Zoya bothering you again?”

“No… it’s not,” Nicolas said, a bit awkward.

But his buddies weren’t buying it. One even taunted Zoya maliciously, “Zoya, you said before that flying a plane wasn’t a big deal, right? Well then, why don’t you show us now!”

“As if she could! If it weren’t for Jasmine still recovering from that fall from the horse last time, she’d be able to see the real gap between her and Jasmine today!”

The mocking laughter rang in Zoya’s ears.

Eowyn rushed forward to scold, “Nicolas, are you even a man? Letting your friends insult your own wife like this?”

Nicolas’s expression stiffened.

Zoya pulled Eowyn back, her face cold as she looked at Nicolas and his buddies. “The difference between people isn’t measured by whether they can fly a plane or not. Who do you think you are to insult me just because I married Nicolas?”

“Alright, don’t let a Zoya mess up our bro–ship, someone advised. “Nicolas, go to the exhibition hall ahead. Jasmine’s been looking for you.”

“The flight show will start soon. Too bad my injury hasn’t fully healed, or I’d join this flight performance,” Jasmine said.

Nicolas hesitated, “Is the flight show that hard?”

“Of course, it’s no easy feat for an ordinary pilot to perform well,” Jasmine said with a hint of pride.

Normally, Nicolas would praise Jasmine, but thinking of Zoya’s aerial maneuvers earlier, those words felt stuck in his throat.

Soon, the flight show began.

Nicolas spotted the very plane Zoya had flown earlier, now part of the performance.

Due to the distance from the camera to the planes, it was impossible to see who was inside them.

Yet, Nicolas had an inexplicable intuition that Zoya must be the one inside that plane.

Watching the flight show, Jasmine suddenly remarked, “Oh, right, when Darren and his friends visited me earlier, they mentioned Zoya. She actually claimed flying a plane isn’t a big deal, how arrogant.”

Nicolas pursed his lips, managing to say, “What if she’s not arrogant?”

Jasmine frowned, scoffing, “Someone who’s never flown a plane before saying that isn’t arrogance? Nicolas, are you defending her?”

“I’m not defending her, but what if she can fly a plane?”
