After parting with Nicolas, Jasmine took the initiative to go shopping with Anica and Violette.

After all, if she really did marry Nicolas someday, Jasmine would have to handle her relationship with her mother–in–law and sister–in–law.

Jasmine purposely brought them to a cosmetics chain owned by the Ingram family. She said, “If you see anything you like, just take it. I’ll cover the bill.”

After all, compared to what she’d taken from Nicolas, these beauty products were practically nothing.

“Jasmine, you are so generous, Violette praised immediately.

“Exactly. You’re much better than Zoya. I wish you were my daughter–in–law,” Anica added. At that moment, she completely forgot how Zoya had spent the last three years taking her to the hospital and running errands for her.

Jasmine looked regretful. “I hope my future mother–in–law is someone like you. It’s just that when I returned home and ran into Nicolas, he was already married.”

said.

Jasmine exclaimed, “Nicolas is divorcing Zoya?”

“Yes, and he has to give Zoya 30 million dollars. Who does she think she is?” Violette complained, furious. “My brother’s company is short on cash right now; he’s scrambling every day to raise money. If he really pays that money, he’ll have to sell the shares he gave Mom to make up the difference.”

Then Violette rattled off the divorce agreement that Anica and Zoya had signed in private.

Jasmine pondered, ‘Although Nicolas is not aware of the divorce arrangement, if it actually goes through, then Nicolas and Zoya’s marriage can indeed end.

‘But that 30 million dollars.‘ Jasmine also felt a quiet pang, as if that money were hers.

“Too bad they couldn’t prove she cheated. If she were found at fault in the marriage, they wouldn’t have to pay that money,” Violette muttered.

“Exactly. All that money was earned by my son. She just wants a divorce and asks for so much,” Anica said angrily.

“Actually, not paying that money is an option,” Jasmine said, lowering her eyelids and speaking as if hinting at something.

Immediately, Violette and Anica’s eyes lit up.

Zoya wanted to return the outfit Wren had swapped for her at the mall that day, the set stained with blood.

She originally planned only to leave it at the Richmond house and hand it to the servants to pass on.

Instead, the butler stepped forward and said, “Mr. Richmond is not in Ranard City right now. Mr. Richmond said that if you truly want to return the items, you should do so in person.”

Zoya frowned. “When will he be back?”

“He probably won’t be back in Ranard City for another two days,” the butler replied.

When Eowyn saw the clothes in her hands, she said, “Wow, those are not easy to get. They were a VIP limited release. But haven’t you always said you weren’t interested in designer stuff?”

As a friend, Eowyn knew Zoya’s taste well: simple, comfortable, and easy to move in.

“They’re to be returned to Wren,” Zoya said. “But he insists they be handed back to him in person.”

Nicolas had obviously seen Zoya. In her gown and delicate makeup she made him feel a little dazed. He had never known. his wife could be so beautiful.

The astonishment in his gaze provoked a flash of displeasure across Jasmine’s face. She spoke up. “Nicolas!”

Only then did Nicolas come back to himself and walk over to Zoya. “You actually followed me here? What are you trying to do?”

Zoya was at a loss for words. “Nicolas, I’m not interested in stalking you.”

“Then why are you here?” Nicolas asked, unconvinced, assuming she had dressed up just to embarrass him because she didn’t like him attending with Jasmine.

“Zoya is now an executive at Bluesky Technology. Of course she’s here with me to attend the party tonight,” Eowyn said, glancing at Nicolas with contempt. “You’re so full of yourself. Does everyone who comes here have to be following you?”

Nicolas’s expression shifted slightly as he warned Zoya, “You’d better just be here for the party. If you do anything out of line, don’t say I didn’t warn you.”

Tonight’s party was important to him; Nicolas needed to look for new business opportunities and attract investors.

As Nicolas led Jasmine toward the venue entrance, Zoya’s phone rang. It was Anica calling.

When the call connected, Anica said, “You come to the Royal Court Hotel right now, room 1205. I the divorce agreement. If you don’t come, then don’t expect to get that 30 million dollars.”

Zoya raised an eyebrow and glanced up at the hotel’s conspicuous “Royal Court” sign.

‘What a coincidence. Anica arranged to meet at the same hotel, Zoya thought.
