“Nicolas!” Jasmine said, raising her voice.

Nicolas, just like at yesterday’s party, was again staring blankly at Zoya’s retreating figure, completely oblivious to her presence.
This made Jasmine increasingly uncomfortable.
Nicolas snapped out of his thoughts and said, “I will find a way to resolve this. Since these jewels were given to you, they are naturally yours.”
A faint smile finally appeared on Jasmine’s face. “It’s a pity, though, that they took the necklace!”
“Once the company secures the island project, I’ll buy you something even better,” Nicolas
said.
Regardless, his most important task in Marabotara was to leverage Jasmine’s connections there to secure the island project.
Only then could he resolve the company’s difficulties and prove that the company’s successful listing and his entrepreneurial success were due to his own efforts, not Zoya’s.
“With my help, you’ll definitely secure a good project,” Jasmine said, taking Nicolas’s arm, “Come on, I’ll take you inside the mansion to meet the Lucero family!”
Meanwhile, in the car, Zoya told Harvey, “Drive to the charity association.”
“What do you want to do?” Harvey asked, puzzled.
“Donate this necklace,” she said.
An hour later, Zoya completed all the donation procedures at the charity association.
The association would auction the necklace, and all proceeds from the auction would be donated to a primary school to help children who had dropped out of school.
“It’s good to donate this. If you ever fancy any jewelry in the future, I’ll buy it for you!” Harvey said.
“I’m not very interested in jewelry,” Zoya said.
The only piece of jewelry she cared about was the ruby necklace her mother used to trade for food and medicine to save 50 orphans years ago.

However, she had already recovered that necklace. She felt that it was probably her only gain from her three-year marriage to Nicolas.
“By the way, did you come to me for something in particular?” Zoya asked.
Harvey then uncomfortably pursed his lips. “Are you and Wren dating?”
Zoya was stunned that Harvey also asked her this question. “You must have seen the trending topic online, too, right?
“He and I aren’t dating. We just happened to run into Nicolas and Jasmine at the party yesterday, and Wren just helped me out.”
“Help?” Harvey said in a deep voice, “He’s not the type to help people.”
“Perhaps it was because I was his date last night,” Zoya said.
Although Wren seemed serious yesterday, she felt that his gaze toward her was, at most, one of mild interest, not the look of someone gazing at a loved one.
Therefore, she wouldn’t assign a deeper meaning to those words.
She thought, ‘Perhaps because I have already been divorced, I have to be more cautious when it comes to dating.
‘I can’t be like Wren, who might just be acting out of momentary interest and wanting to try dating!’
“So you don’t feel anything for him?” Harvey asked worriedly.
Zoya said, “I just got divorced, and I have absolutely no intention of starting a new relationship right now.
“My priority is to finish my job as his bodyguard as soon as possible, then return to Ranard City to sort out my work.
“After that, I’ll go to the border to search for any clues about my brother!”
At that time, she could handle some work matters online while trying to see if she could find any clues at the border.
Still, the possibility of finding him was slim.
Back then, the military conducted extensive searches but found no trace of her brother. She wondered if she could succeed this time.

Over the years, many people urged her to accept reality, stating that a person missing for five years had a very slim chance of survival.
But she believed her brother was not dead and must still be alive.
“Then I’ll go to the border with you,” Harvey said.
“No, that’s not necessary. This is my personal matter, and I can handle it myself…”
“Zoya!” he interrupted, “Let me go with you. I won’t be at ease if you go alone!”
“But…”
“Do you know what your importance to me far exceeds what you imagine? Just let me go with you!” Harvey insisted.
Zoya hesitated for a moment. “We’ll see. After all, I will stay at the border for a while, and I’m not even sure how long it will be.”
“It’s alright. I’ll stay with you for as long as it takes!” Harvey said.
Zoya looked at Harvey with some confusion. “Even if I was once your captain and took care of you in the barracks, you don’t have to go to such lengths.
“I took care of you because you are my comrade. You don’t need to repay me for anything!”
“I’m not doing these things to repay you… No, that’s not it. Of course, I also want to repay you, but actually, it’s that I…”
Harvey’s voice suddenly trailed off, and the rest of his words seemed stuck in his throat.
He thought, ‘Should I confess to her?
‘Right now, she has no intention of starting a new relationship. If I confessed now, she would definitely refuse.
If that happened, could we still be so close to each other?’
Harvey wasn’t certain.
He cared deeply for her and cherished their relationship, so he hesitated to take risks or confess his feelings, fearing it would jeopardize their existing bond.
But he had already missed one chance three years ago. He wondered if he should take his
chance now.

Harvey had always been an impulsive and unrestrained person, but when it came to Zoya, he became unusually hesitant.
“What?” Zoya waited for Harvey to continue.
“I…” He opened his mouth, but his phone rang at that inopportune moment.
Harvey picked up his phone, and after listening for a moment, his expression suddenly changed. “Okay, I’ll return as soon as possible to handle it.”
After he ended the call, Zoya asked, “What’s wrong?”
“Something happened at my grandfather’s law firm. I need to return to Ranard City as soon as possible to handle it,” Harvey said.
Although his grandfather’s law firm was usually managed by his uncle, the call from his uncle suggested the matter was serious and seemed related to something he had done abroad.
“Okay then, go back and handle it now,” Zoya said.
Harvey looked at Zoya with some reluctance and thought, ‘Will I regret leaving this way?’
“You will only be Wren’s bodyguard for three months?” he asked abruptly.
“Yes, after three months, even if he is still in Marabotara, I will return to Ranard City,” Zoya said.
“Alright then, I’ll wait for you in Ranard City!” Harvey said solemnly.
He thought, ‘In the near future, when a suitable opportunity arises, I will tell her that I want to be her man, not just a brother to her!’
When Wren returned to the villa, his footsteps suddenly paused.
He thought, ‘Someone is in the living room. Is it Zoya?”
However, an instinctive sense of danger told him that the person wasn’t Zoya, because Zoya wouldn’t evoke such a sense of danger in him.
When he saw the person in the living room, his pupils suddenly constricted.
