On the Ruins of His Regret I Soar novel Chapter 107

Nathan didn't even see George move; one moment he was there, the next he was gone. Nathan quickly got up and followed him to the room.

As soon as he entered, Jessica recognized him. "Mr. White."

Nathan gave an awkward nod. She knew that Larry White had opened a hospital for his brother, and it was the best private facility in Cabinda. Nathan served as the vice president. Jessica was surprised that George had been able to get his help.

Her gaze shifted to George.

"Mr. White is a friend of Mr. George's," he explained in a low voice. "He's doing me a favor."

Nathan blinked. What was that supposed to mean?

"I owe Mr. George another favor," Jessica said, her voice hoarse.

Nathan understood. George wasn't using his real identity with her. That was a relief. When the inevitable breakup happened, she wouldn't be able to find him, and there would be no threat of blackmail. Thank goodness. George might be head over heels, but he wasn't completely reckless.

"Dr. White, you can get back to your work," George said, looking at Nathan. "Thank you for today."

Nathan couldn't suppress a smile. He clapped George heavily on the shoulder. "Alright, I'll leave you to it. If you need anything, just let me know. Considering my friendship with Mr. George, don't hesitate to ask."

George shot him a look, and Nathan instantly sobered up and scurried away.

Jessica coughed lightly.

George poured a glass of water and handed it to her. Seeing she was too weak to sit up, he went out and returned with a straw, placing the glass by her pillow.

"George," she rasped, her throat feeling like it was lined with razor blades, "how did you find me?"
