On the Ruins of His Regret I Soar novel Chapter 259

The other two, a man named Billy and a woman named Angela, hesitated.

“What are you waiting for?” Arianna hissed. “Just say yes!”

Billy took a deep breath. “Fine. We’ll leave the accounts.”

But Angela shook her head. “Ms. Brown, Ms. Jones, I’m sorry… I’m not quitting.”

“What?” Arianna stared at her in disbelief. “We all agreed! You can’t back out now!”

“I’m not like you two,” Angela said, her lips pressed together. “You have real talent. My account was built on the resources the company poured into it. If I go to a bigger company with so many other talented creators, they’ll never invest that much in me.” She knew what the smarter choice was.

“Alright, Angela, you can go back to your desk for now,” Rebecca said. “Take the day off. We’ll be restructuring things. Arianna, Billy, please see HR to process your resignations.”

The three of them left together.

“We need to recruit new talent,” Jessica said to Rebecca.

“I agree,” Rebecca replied. “Start looking for independent creators on social media who have gone viral recently. See if we can sign them.”

“On it. I’ve already got a list of twenty people. I’ll start contacting them today.”

“Be prepared for more of our smaller creators to leave too,” Rebecca warned. “We need to stay strong. By the way, how is the short series doing?”

“I heard while I was filling out my paperwork that a few of your creators just left?” Lillian asked.

Rebecca’s smile faded.

“I’ve been watching a lot of streams lately,” Lillian continued, “and I’m really interested in the fashion and styling ones. I think I could do that. What do you think?”

“You want to be a streamer?” Rebecca asked, her eyes wide with surprise.

Lillian nodded eagerly. “What do you think?”

“I think it’s a fantastic idea!” Rebecca exclaimed. “You have great taste. It’s a perfect fit. But, Lillian, I have to be upfront with you. In this industry, everything is about branding. We’ll have to use your divorce as a hook to attract viewers.”
