Sylvara's Rebirth: A New Dawn for Abel novel Chapter 105

**Chapter 105: The Perfect Dataset**

Malcolm took a crisp bite of the apple, the juicy flesh crunching satisfyingly between his teeth, and simultaneously snapped a photo with his optical computer. The bright screen glinted in the light as he smirked, “Someone as dumb as you doesn’t deserve one.”

Aslan felt a jolt of indignation surge through him, his brow furrowing in annoyance. “How am I dumb?” he retorted, his voice edged with disbelief.

Malcolm’s lips pressed into a thin line, and with a flicker of concentration, he directed a wave of mental energy toward Aslan, a silent but palpable force.

As the crushing pressure washed over him, Aslan’s instincts kicked in. He sidestepped just in time, narrowly avoiding the onslaught.

Malcolm raised an eyebrow, a hint of amusement dancing in his eyes. “You just dodged. What were you expecting, a friendly hug?”

Aslan, still catching his breath, replied miserably, “You attacked me with mental energy. Was I just supposed to stand there and let it hit me?”

Malcolm let out a short, mocking laugh. “That’s the difference between you and my sweetheart. She wouldn’t have dodged.”

Aslan’s eyes widened in disbelief. “Mr. Knowles, your mental energy has mutated. It’s not pure healing-type anymore. Your attack power is stronger than your healing.”

Malcolm’s irritation flared. He smacked the back of his head in frustration. “See? You’re dumb and won’t admit it. This isn’t a mutation. My plant-type mental energy has reached Level 8.”

“Level 8 mental energy isn’t a mutation,” Aslan countered, his mind racing to keep up. “My guess is that it starts to solidify. Before, it could only heal. Once it solidifies, it can form blades and attack people.”

It took a moment for the realization to sink in for Aslan. “Mental energy can solidify?” he asked, his curiosity piqued.

Malcolm nodded, a glint of excitement in his eyes. “It’s just my theory. In all the history we know, it’s never happened. But in the legends of ancient Earth, it did.”

Aslan frowned, skepticism creeping into his voice. “Ancient Earth legends?”

“Absolutely!” Malcolm exclaimed, his enthusiasm infectious. “Over 3,000 years ago, our ancestors crossed the Milky Way and arrived on ancient Earth.

“At that time, ancient Earth was in the midst of a zombie apocalypse. The strong awakened various types of mental energy—lightning, wind, water, strength, and more.

“The strongest among them could materialize their mental energy and form any weapon they desired to strike down their enemies.”

Aslan’s brow furrowed deeper. “If it’s a legend from over 3,000 years ago, where did you hear about it? Why have I never come across it?”
